The gear that I use in order to write in a Christian blog.

So, I actually keep it really simple in order to do my blog. I do have some Niche specific blog gear that I use in order to create more topics and discuss things on the internet. I decided to make this blog post because I wanted to let people know that you really don’t need much in order to make a blog. Just a strong passion to write and persist through challenging times.

            Let’s talk about all of the gear that I use in order to write in my Christian blog.

            Let’s get started.

Computer

            Let’s start off with the first thing that every blogger needs, a computer.

            I am actually blessed enough to have an older computer with great technology. My computer is really fast.

            I can type on word and not worry about lag time or anything like that. I absolutely love my computer.

            I will say this, I bought this laptop brand new and I bought it for producing music.

            So, some of the specs at the time were actually top of the line specs. I had a top of the line Intel I7 processer with dual quad core and like 2.5 Ghz worth of speed.

            I was actually reading up a little bit about computers before I made my decision to buy a computer because I wanted a really good computer to work for me and all the softwares that I wanted.

            Some of the software that I use is really heavy on the processer, therefore, I needed something that would work against everything that I would throw at it.

            I had 16 Gb of ram.

            To be honest with you, I wanted something that could do a little bit of everything. I actually wanted a laptop that could play games too.

            At the time, I was playing League of Legends and I was getting good at it too. I remember I got a Quadrakill one time, good times.

            Therefore, I needed something with a lot of memory, so I got it.

            I also wanted something that could store all of the music that I listen to and all of the music that I make.

            Some of you may not know this, but when you make music, it actually requires a lot of memory.

            Each song could take up about 60 Megabytes worth of memory and if you’re making hundreds of songs a year, well you do the math.

            When you have the finish product on Mp3 form is when the file becomes significantly smaller, around 4 Megabytes. But when you’re working on a song, it could be really big.

            I had one song that was 120 Megabytes.

            I also wanted something that could hold the music that I listen to, My essays from college, my blog posts (at the time I wanted to become a blogger), Pictures, and of course games and my music softwares.

            So, I got something with a Terabyte of hard drive.

            So, top of the line Laptop actually ran me around 1000 dollars and that’s after the discount. I fell in love with my laptop.

            I remember when I got this laptop that I said to myself, “My God has provided a Laptop, thank you God!”

            And it’s true, God did provide me a Laptop and I really thank him for it.

HOWEVER, It’s not necessary to get all of the things that I have on my laptop.

            If you’re not a musician, it would be pointless to get something that would be suitable for a music producer. If you don’t play video games, why would you need a lot of RAM?

            If you just want to do office work, a regular Intel i5 processer with 400 Gb worth of Hard drive and 8 Gb worth of ram would do it, and that’s if you want to do a lot of office work.

            Right now, my sister has an I3 processer, however, it’s a 13^th generation i3 processer. And guess what? It runs just as well as my I7.

            What happens is that the later the generation, the better the technology improves. Yesterday’s i7 processer, is today’s i3 processer.

              And you know what? It cost her significantly less. I’m talking about less than half the price.

            So like, if you want to become a blogger and do some emails or internet surfing and some office work, you have to look up which one would be best for you.

            I absolutely love my laptop, and you’ll love yours.

Bible

            I couldn’t be anywhere on this blog if it wasn’t for the things that are in the bible. When I first started this blog, I wanted to make it about Christian music and Christianity. However, I wanted to have a strong focus on theology.

            In my head, I kept saying to myself, this can grow into something good. I can spread the word of God through a good manner. This is something holy. God would want me to do this. All of these things just flooded through my head and I just said to myself, it’s my duty as a Christian soldier to write in this blog.

            And It’s true, I remember my first few 100 blog posts were mainly about theology.

            The reason why I did that is because I wanted God’s message to be spread as quickly as possible. I felt like there was a large need to get the truth of God’s message out into the world, so I just started writing about theology.

            This blog would not exist if it wasn’t for the bible. This blog would not exist if it wasn’t for God.

Notebook and pen

            Just recently, I started to write down all of my ideas on paper. Why? Because it just floods my blog with words. I can write for days if I just write out my thoughts on a piece of paper first.

            I also have my favorite pen. I forget what they’re called, but you can buy them at Wal-Mart or Target and they are so sharp that they have a diameter of their point, I personally get the 1.0 point. My sister likes the sharper point at 0.5.

            I started to write down all of my thoughts on paper because I am really trying to get this blog running now. I think it’s about time that this blog started to succeed and I want to work really hard at this blog before I give up on it.

            Though I don’t think that I’ll ever give up on it now.

            I’m not saying never though because I don’t know the future. I’ll say this…

            I hope that I’ll never give up on this blog.

Cell phone

            I don’t like to write on my blog with my cell phone. However, when I’m in a pinch and I can’t get to my computer that’s at home, I will write in my cell phone.

            I love the portability of a cell phone, it just gives the whole blogging world a dynamic that it’s just not found anywhere else.

            Also, I feel like it’s quicker to look things up on my cell phone than it is to look them up on my Laptop.

            I feel like my cell phone just moves quicker and it’s more dynamic sometimes.

            So even when I’m on my laptop, I will still sometimes look up things on my cell phone just for quicker access.

Broadcast

            I sure hope that I have inspired some people to go out and start their blog. Remember, that if you ever want to start something for God, God will be the one responsible for writing your checks. God is infinite and God is not limited. So, don’t worry about the checks, don’t worry about the process, Just worry about doing what is right for the Lord.

            If you want to go to heaven, then believe in Jesus and Jesus will get you into heaven.
