So, you’ve started your Christian blog and can’t wait until you get the traffic that’s going to pay the bills? Right? You want to get the traffic that you rightfully deserve in order to get the influence that your brand needs right? You also want to reach people so that the word of God spreads and your mission in life is fulfilled right?

Well good news for you. All of those are valid reasons as to why you want to excel in your blog.

Now the key in achieving all of those things is consistency. If you can constantly push out blog posts, your reach will grow and you will have a massive audience eventually.

I’m not saying you’re going to get it overnight. But you will get it within a few years of consistent work and dedication.

Now I know it’s hard to be consistent, but you’re going to have to make the decision now to stay consistent with your blog.

You’re going to have to dedicate time and effort into making your blog possible.

            Let’s talk about this.

How to be consistent?

Consistency is the key in doing things that matter. It matters in relationships, marriage, work, school, hobbies, and blogs.

If you ever want to get good at something, you need to be consistent with your work.

So you might ask yourself, “What is consistency in the first place?” To me, consistency is the ability to do something over and over again over long periods of time. In this instance, consistency would have to mean that you are willing to put in half an hour of blogging each day when you start and an hour of blogging when you are an experienced blogger.

Some people say that in order to build a habit, you need to do it for 90 days and then by that time, you would have built up a habit.

I think that if you do something for an hour a day and do it for 90 days then you would have built up a habit. That’s just my opinion.

I remember back when I first started to write in this blog, I didn’t build up the habit of consistently writing until just recently. However, I feel like I really don’t know when I’ve built up a habit.

I guess it’s not something that you see has changed deliberately but once you think that you’ve built up a habit, then you know you have that habit for sure.

Like now, I know that I’ve got the habit to write. Honestly however, I just felt like I have the habit today. Why? Because of this. It’s cold right now in my house, I just finished work and work is tiring, I went to church right after that, I had a meal, I’m getting ready to go to sleep, and all of a sudden, I feel something say, you’re not done yet.

And this feeling just dragged me over to my laptop and I got this blog idea popped in my head. As a matter of fact, I have 3 blog ideas in my head that would be perfect for this blog.

            And you know what?

It doesn’t feel like I’m struggling to write.

            Actually this is pretty easy.

I’m actually fighting myself to NOT write.

However, I continue and you know what? I still have maybe two more 1000 word blog posts in me.

I don’t know, depending on how I feel after this blog post, I might write 2 more.

You see, while you’re developing a habit, you’re also developing different aspects of your writing.

You’re developing typing skills, stamina, strength, writing skills, editing skills, blogging skills, patience, for me songwriting skills, etc. etc.

What if you lack motivation to get you going through the day?

Honestly, if you lack motivation to get you to blog, you have a problem with God. God is the one who helps us to be consistent. God helps us to develop ideas. If you’re a Christian blogger ask yourself these questions, Do I pray to God on a consistent basis? Do I read my bible on a consistent basis? Do I go to church on a consistent basis? If the answer to any of those questions is no, then you know for sure that you are not really close to God.

I know what you’re thinking, “German there are so many people out there who don’t have God and can stay consistent, how can they do that?”

I’m not going to answer that question but I know what it is. Therefore what I’ll say is, Trust in God that the right path is to be close to him. If you don’t want to follow the right path, then end up as the 99% who never make it to be rich.

If you’re a Christian blogger, this question should even be in mind because you’re going to get closer to God anyways right? So why not start now?

God is the one who controls all of the money in the world

God has a hold of every last dollar that is in this world. Every last penny, every last quarter, God is in control. God can move money around to fit you, God can move money around against you.

I’m not saying that God is against you, but you have to follow the steps needed in order to get the things that you either want or need.

If you really need money, seek God and God will give you money.
