My calling as a Christian blogger

Everyone has a purpose in life. Everyone has their own callings to do within their community. God calls us to do a wide variety of things in the world. Being a Christian blogger is just another calling.

            At this point in life, I feel like God has called me to be a Christian blogger. Actually I know that I was supposed to become a Christian blogger because of all of the things that are happening right now with my blog.

            God has blessed my hands. I thank God for this calling to be a Christian blogger.

            With that being said, let’s talk about my calling as a Christian blogger

Why I was called to blog

            I was never really good at writing. I could write essays and pass the class with an A in school but I just wasn’t the best writer.            

             I was even better at math and science than I was at writing.

            However, I knew that God was worth more than anything in this world. I knew that God is someone worth writing about.

            So, I took it upon myself to learn how to write well. I didn’t let anything stop me from learning how to write because I really wanted to serve God.

            I said to myself, “God is worth learning a new skill for.” I said to myself, “God doesn’t care if I don’t write well, what matters is that I spread the message of God to the world.”

            God doesn’t call the qualified, he qualifies the called.

            I remember back when I was first starting out this blog that a preacher once said to me, “You should have seen how I started out preaching. I went up to my preacher and with a box of Marlboro cigarettes in my shirt pocket I told him that I wanted to be a preacher.” Sure enough he went to school to become a preacher and sure enough he quit smoking. He has been 40 years clean from smoking.

            I looked at this preacher with astonishment in my eyes because he is proof that you don’t need to be the most holy man on earth in order to preach for God.

            There is also another lesson to be learned from this story. God wants sinners. It doesn’t matter what kind of sinner you are, it doesn’t matter what you’ve done in life, God wants sinners and he wants them in his kingdom.

            I know this is true.

            So going back to my calling. I wasn’t qualified to talk on the internet about God. I wasn’t qualified to write, I wasn’t anything but a great musician with a desire to serve the Lord and you know what? God is the one who made everything in this blog possible.

            Therefore, you must trust in God with all of your activities. Trust that he is the one who is working harder than you. Trust that he has angels working for him who fail only when God allows it to fail.

            So, if you’re out there, don’t doubt yourself because you’re not a good writer. Keep working hard and eventually God will make you a good writer.

            This is one of the reasons why I think that I was called to blog for the Lord.

Another reason why I think that I was called to blog for the Lord…

            The second reason why I think that I was called to blog for the Lord is this, I actually love God with all of my heart. I actually want to serve the Lord with everything that I am.

            I don’t care about the money that could possible come from this blog, although I know that it could be a lot.

            I wanted to make God my job because he is my absolute passion. There is a saying in this world and it says that if you work at something that you love, then you will never work a day in your life.

            I love God and so I wanted to make God my work.

            All of my life my parents told me to chase after the things that I loved, therefore, I chased after God.

            God is the person that I love most in the world. I love God more than I love music, my parents, my sisters, everything that this world has to offer, I love God more than any of it.

            And I’m not ashamed to say it.

The last reason why I think that I was called to blog about God

            Blogging just made so much sense to me to do. For me, it makes so much sense to write in this blog for spiritual and earthly needs.

            Through this blog, I am setting myself treasures upon heaven. This means that, that’s where my heart is going to be, and that’s what I want.

            Financially it makes sense to do this blog. For my music it makes sense to do this blog. For a lot of things that are going on in my life, it makes sense to do this blog.

            I was just called to write in this blog.

            I sure hope that I have shown everyone what it looks like to be called to write in a Christian blog. It takes a lot of time and effort into dedicating to a blog, however if you’re with God, then anything is possible.

            If you want to go to heaven, then believe in Jesus and Jesus will get you into heaven.
