Heaven and hell what are they?

When you’re new to the faith, you should be well aware as to what you’re getting yourself into and also the situation that you just got out of. Heaven and hell, can we describe them? What happens to a person who doesn’t believe in Jesus?

            Let’s talk about this for a second.

Heaven

            Heaven is a holy place meant for all of the believers in Jesus. The bible actually describes heaven as a place where it is always lit, there is no darkness, the streets are paved with Gold, there is no sun because the spirit of God lights everyone.

            And in that city, in the father’s mansion, he has a room for us. So that we may dwell there forever.

            It’s the final destination of all the people who believed in Jesus no matter the circumstances.

            We will get there once we die.

            After all of this earth has passed and all the tragedies of this earth has passed too, God will come down and judge everyone, believer and none believer.

            This is when we will all get lifted up and we will go to heaven depending on whether you believe in Jesus or not.

Hell

            Hell is a place designed for the sinners. Let’s get something straight here, we are all sinners. Not one of us is better than another. Not one of us is more perfect than the next. We all have sin and deserve to die for those sins.

            However, God provided a way for us to go to heaven. What happens is that God cannot be with sin. God loves us but sin cannot be present in our lives when we are with God.

            That is the reason why God brought Jesus on the earth. God sent Jesus to die on the cross so that through Jesus, we can go to heaven. We have to believe in Jesus as the only way to get to heaven.

            If we don’t believe that Jesus is the one and true God, then we have to understand what the consequences are. The consequences of sin is death.

            Death physically and spiritually.

            The bible describes hell as a lake filled with fire and brimstone. The bible describes hell as a place where Satan, all of his angels, and anyone who doesn’t believe in Jesus will reside for the rest of eternity.

            I remember I one time asked someone how hot is it going to be in hell. And this very wise and God fearing person said, “have you ever burned yourself?” and I said “yes.” And they said, “Hell is going to be 7x hotter than when you burned yourself.”

            I was astounded because that was such a powerful image.

However, you don’t have to go to hell.

            There is a way out of going to hell, it’s Jesus. Jesus is our way out of hell. Jesus can help us to not go to hell. I know that this world is very dark and depressing sometimes. Our only hope is Jesus. After we die, we will live forever if you just believe in him.

            You too can go to heaven. You don’t have to go to hell. God wants everyone in heaven. No matter what you’ve done in life, God wants you in heaven.

            I am 26 years old, do you think that I’ve seen some horrible things that this world can do? And you know what, I still say that God forgives all of it. Just believe in Jesus as your personal Lord and savior and you will go to heaven. Trust in that.

            I sure hope that I have inspired some people to go to Jesus. Jesus is the best decision that you will ever make in your life. Jesus died for us. Through Jesus, we can rest easy knowing that he will be by our side even until the end.

            If you want to go to heaven, then believe in Jesus as your personal Lord and savior and you will go to heaven.
