Being a Christian is the best thing in the world. Loving God is more important than loving your neighbor, your spouse, or your kids. Being Christian means that you follow god throughout all of the good times and the bad. Being Christian means that you love God with all your heart.
Today, we will talk about all the different ways that we can be Christian in today’s society.
Let’s get started.
Accept Jesus as your personal Lord and savior
The first and foremost thing that you have to do in order to become Christian is to accept the Lord Jesus as your personal Lord and savior.
When you accept Jesus into your life, it’s not an experience that you saw that light shined on your face and you believed in Jesus. It wasn’t just a one-time thing that happened to you. But rather, it is the act of believing in Jesus. When you believe in Jesus, you believe that he died for your sins. You believe that he is now in your life and you will be with him forever.
That is the first and foremost thing that you have to do.
Pray
I know this sounds like an obvious one to you, however, I must mention that prayer is absolutely essential to the modern Christian.
It was essential back in the 1st century, It’s essential now.
However, I must add that when you pray, it’s not like a thing where you pray once a day and that’s it. But rather, you should pray whenever you feel convicted to pray. Whenever you don’t feel convicted to pray, pray anyways!
You see the bible teaches us that we are supposed to pray constantly. The bible literally states, “Pray without ceasing!” Therefore, we must heed to what the bible teaches us because it literally is life to us.
I might recommend that you should pray on your own too. I mean when no one is watching.
Jesus taught that when we pray, we should hide ourselves away and the father who sees in secret will “reward thee openly.” You have to trust in Jesus more so than me. Therefore, pray to God for the things in your life and he will always be there.
Go to church
A Christian can’t be a Christian if he’s not going to church.
The church is a place where we learn new things from God. We need to go to church because we humans replicate what we see.
When we see people going to church, we tend to replicate those sort of things.
When we see people reading the bible, we tend to replicate those sort of things too.
We also have to go to church to find people who are likeminded as us. If we surround ourselves with people who love God, that will in turn follow us.
Read the bible.
We have to read the bible to understand exactly what is going on and why. The bible has a lot of answers to the world’s biggest problems.
From understanding why there are so many wars going on, to understanding why bad things happen to good people. The bible has answers to all of those things.
If you’ve been going to church for a while, you probably have read a big chunk of the bible.
Some of the things in the bible are really deep and we can’t understand what is going on in it.
But do your best and always pray to God for all of the things that you don’t understand.
Honesty
The Lord hates a lying tongue. The Lord loves someone who is honest. Honesty will not only make you popular with God, but with mankind as well.
Honesty is good and to tell the truth all the time is a blessing.
Pride yourself in being the most honest person in the room and you will go a long ways.
Broadcast
I sure hope that I have inspired some people to become Christians.
If you want to become Christian, take the first step and accept Jesus Christ as your personal Lord and savior. Believe in Jesus and you will go to heaven.
