Prayers that I have for myself

You know above all else in life, I’ve always wanted to be a good man. I don’t care what this world does to me, I want to be a good Godly man that obeys the word of God no matter what. Therefore, I have prayed for myself for some of those things.

            However, I find that the more that I go into this world, the less that I want for that dream to come true.            

            Sometimes, I just want to do some really ungodly things because of all the hatred that I have in my heart.

            However, God always brings me back down and helps me to find light at the end of the tunnel.

            With that being said, Here are some prayers that I have for myself.

I pray to be a good man

            No matter what, I have literally prayed to God, “I don’t care if you have to force me to become a good man, make me a good man.” Why? Because above all else, I don’t care what I end up as. If I’m not with God, then I don’t want the best guitars, hotels, lifestyle, anything!

            On this journey to become a good man, The Lord actually made me honest.

            I remember back when I was in high school that my friends wanted to call me Honest Abe. And it was because I had the reputation for always telling the truth.

            They said that I was honest and that I wouldn’t move my answer from the truth.

            I also had friends who nicknamed me slash, Jimmy page, Hendrix, but you get the idea. Some of my other friends also nicknamed me Busta Rhymes and Eminem because I was such a good rapper.

            I thank God for making me all those things.

            You know it’s kind of ironic because I try to be a good man, but I do things that a good man doesn’t do.

            Like I listen to rap music.

            It’s not rap that’s bad, but rather the content that’s in the rap song is a very bad thing. I know that it’s not good to listen to things about drugs, sex, and rock and roll. Honestly though, I can’t help but to listen to it especially when I’m upset or angry.

            Just recently my mom made me really mad at her and I couldn’t help but to put on my headphones and just blast the most inappropriate songs in my head.

            I know that God understands, but God also wants us to do our best to fight off the urges to be ungodly.

            That is where I’m weak.

            I need to be of a more understanding mind towards my mother and I should also be slow to anger.

            In all reality, it’s not my fault, but rather, it’s just that I need to learn not to give up so easily especially when adversity comes.

Prayers to be an excellent musician

            I know that God has made me an excellent musician already. But I need to keep working at it in order to improve my knowledge and understanding of music.

            I currently do not have a bachelors in music, but I am working towards a bachelors and I know that whatever I do end up getting, it will be because God helped me to get it.

            I want to be an excellent musician, but not just any musician, I want to be an excellent musician for the Lord.

            I know that God can make me an excellent musician if I just try, but I have to be willing to put in the hours for him.

I pray for this blog

            I know that this blog can give me a lot. I know that if I just work hard enough at this blog, then I can reap great rewards.

            So, I try my best every day that I work on this blog, but ultimately, God has to bless this blog every day in order for it to work.

            I sure hope that I have inspired some people to go out there and start a change in their life today.

            If you want to go to heaven, then believe in Jesus and Jesus will get you into heaven.
