I have had many sins in my life before. However, I actually didn’t know that I was sinning until about a year ago. And actually I have been struggling since then to actually quit that sin. It’s actually quite difficult. However, I am determined to keep pursuing and not give up on giving up this sin.

With that being said, here is a sin that I’ve been tackling for a long time now. But first, let’s have our moment of silence.

Now for our moment of silence. Take 5 minutes to pray for everything and anything in your life. Pray for this sin that I have please, I want to quit doing this sin.

Now back to the show

Coveting

I actually covet. Now, what is coveting? Coveting is wanting something that you can’t have.

I’m not going to say that it’s an extreme case of coveting. But I do want things that I sometimes can’t have.

Sometimes I want to have big muscles and workout. Sometimes, I want to be a marine. Sometimes I want to be a politician, other times I want to do it all. However, I know that, that’s not possible. It’s just impossible to do everything. You can’t be a boxing, musician, politician, Olympic gymnast. There’s just not enough time in the world for you to perfect all of the techniques required to perform at the highest levels of those fields.

Choose which one you want the most because all of them can give you a ton of money, and all of them have their perks and disadvantages.

For the longest time, I thought that I could do it all. However, I just came to the realization that it’s not possible. I can’t know about everything and anything, that’s just inhumane.

Therefore, I want to quit some of the things that I do because it just requires so much time out of my day.

Like i’ll give you an example. I play pool ball, I play guitar, piano, bass, and I sing, I want to go to college, I work part time, I want to exercise and be physically strong. And It just seems too much for me. I feel sometimes like I can’t do it. On top of all that, I am writing in a blog. Do you know how long blogging takes up from your day? If you write 3 1000 word blog posts, that’s 2 and a half to 3 hours of blogging writing that you’ve just done. Not to mention the research and brainstorming that you had to do in order to come up with those topics.

And everything else is the same when it comes to the amount of work that you need to do in order to do something good.

I feel like I can’t do it sometimes.

However, I know that a busy mind is better than a mind that does nothing at all. I know the old saying goes, “Idle hands are the devil’s play things.”

What do I plan on doing about it?

I plan on trying to stay focused. It’s not that I can’t do all of the things that I want to do. It’s just that I have a hard time staying focused throughout the day.

Like, to be honest with you, I could probably do all of the things that I just mentioned and more because in reality all of the things that I want to do would take a considerable amount of time and everyone recommends that I just break up each session into smaller timeframes so that it’s manageable.

I could literally tell you how my day would go. 6 am wake up. 6:10 breakfast, 6:40 brush teeth and shower. 7:10 get changed and put on deodorant, 7:30 get to the gym, Workout from 7:30 until 9:30 then head to work. Work 10 Am to 4 pm. 4:30 dinner 5 blog for two to three hours, 7 read my text books on the knowledge that I want to have. 8 Prayer and bible reading. 9 sleep. If i could just literally do it like that all day every day, I would have a phenomenal life.

I don’t mind adding extra hours for prayer and bible reading.

However, that’s my weekday schedule. My weekend schedule would consist of church, and more work but difficrently. I don’t know really, I never got that far. Haha!

Anyways, i plan on cutting out some of the things that I do in life, but I just don’t know what.
