You know, it’s funny because forgiveness is a two way street. Sometimes, we look at ourselves and we say to ourselves that we deserve forgiveness.

However, when we see someone else who has hurt us, we say that they don’t deserve forgiveness.

Ultimately, we all deserve forgiveness because we all have committed sins against someone else.

If we feel so inclined to receive forgiveness, then why wouldn’t the other people who hurt us?

Today, let’s talk about forgiveness and learn how to forgive someone when they have hurt us.

Now is the time for the moment of silence. At this time, I would like all of us to pray for a minimum of 5 minutes about this subject or anything that there is in life.

Now back to the show

Forgiveness

Forgiveness is the act of letting go what someone has done to you. Forgiveness is accepting their apology even when they haven’t said it.

Often times when I think of forgiveness, I think of all the people who have hurt me.

I think of all the times that I got hurt and sometimes I reminisce and simmer in that heat for a bit.

However, that’s not what God wants us to do. What God wants us to do is to accept the other person’s apology even if they haven’t asked for it.

We need to accept the apology of the people who hurt us because it’s what God would want us to do, It’s that simple.

Think about it, if you think that you deserve forgiveness, that means that everyone in the world deserves forgiveness. Why? Because what difference does your sin make than someone elses sin? In the end, no matter what you do, we all sin and are called sinners because we fall short of the glory of God.

Therefore, everyone deserves forgiveness.

How to actually forgive someone that has hurt you.

Forgiving someone is not easy, especially when they have hurt you.

Forgiving someone requires strength that is not your own. It requires strength that is stronger than your own.

For this reason, forgiving someone who has hurt us requires God to be present in the process.

Obviously, when God asked us to forgive our enemies, he knew that it would be difficult.

However, good things come to those who are merciful. It says so in the bible. Jesus said, “the merciful, shall obtain mercy.”

So, just remember that the bible is true even unto death. So, hold on to the fact that the merciful obtain mercy.

Hold on to the fact that good things happen to those who are merciful, and it will give you strength.

Where to find more strength?

Honestly, the number one source of strength that I know of is God.

God is the number one source of strength that there is in the world. From actual physical strength, to mental and spiritual strength, God has it all.

Therefore, we need to go to church, read the bible, and pray to God for strength so that we can do the things that are impossible.
