So before we continue with our story of the bible, I would like to say that all of the bible revolves around Jesus. From Genesis to Revelation, all of the stories revolve around Jesus.

Everything points towards Jesus.

Today, we will be continuing or story of the bible from when Joseph was sold into slavery by his brothers.

But first, our moment of silence.

At this time, I would like all of us to take a moment of silence to pray for all of the things that happen in our lives. Pray for everything, take a minimum of 5 minutes to pray for all of the things in your lives.

Now back to the show

Joseph

Joseph was a smart kid. So, when he was sold into slavery by his brothers, he actually fell into a few leadership positions.

Joseph was put in charge of one of pharoahs officer’s household. However, one day, the wife of the officer thought Joseph was attractive and told him to sleep with her. And Joseph ran out of the house because he did not want to betray his God.

However, the wife of the officer said that he tried to have sex with her and she told him no. Therefore, Joseph was put to jail.

In jail, there were two men, a baker and a butler. The butler and the baker had two disturbing dreams and Joseph could actually interpret them.

Joseph said that the butler was to be released and the baker was going to die by hanging in three days time.

Sure enough, the butler was freed and the baker died by hanging because of execution.

Then, two years passed by before Pharoah had a disturbing dream himself. And it was so disturbing that he called all of his wisemen and magicians to decipher the dream.

However, none could tell him what the dream meant because Pharoah himself did not know what the dream was!

Then, the butler remembered Joseph and how he told him about the dream. And the butler told Pharoah and Pharoah summoned Joseph.

And Joseph said, “Your dream was about 7 fat cows and 7 skinny cows and the skinny cows ate the 7 fat cows.” Then Joseph revealed what the dream was about.

Joseph said, “Your dream is about 7 good years where there will be plenty of harvest and food. And then the 7 skinny cows are about 7 bad years where there will be a famine.”

Immediately, Pharoah said that Joseph was to be second in command in all of Egypt. The only person above Joseph would be Pharoah himself.

And it was so, so Pharoah put Joseph in charge of this famine that was to occur.

And so Joseph said that a portion of all of the next 7 years would be put away for the famine that would occur.

Then, it was so. 7 years of good harvest came upon the land and then 7 years of bad came upon the land. However, Egypt remained in tact because of Joseph’s decision.

While the famine was happening, Israel and his family, now 11 sons, were hungry and heard that Egypt had food.

So, Israel sent his sons to go out and get the food and see if Pharoah would take them in.

When Israel’s sons went to Egypt, Joseph saw them. And he played some games with them questioning their brother Joseph. And when the brothers found out it was Joseph, they all wept and reconciled with each other.

And then they sent to go and get their father, Israel, to find out to tell them what happened with Joseph. And it was a big family reunion.

Israel died and so did Joseph and his brothers, However, the Jews started to gain numbers in Egypt. They started to multiply.

Until their numbers were great.

And 400 years passed until they got out of egypt. And now we’re in Exodus.

And I will save the next part of the bible story next time. Keep in mind that I haven’t said all of the stories of the bible. But I am saying a lot of it. I didn’t say the story of Soddom and Gomohrrah. I left out a few details here and there about why they’re called Hebrews.

Anyways, that’s it for today.

Broadcast

I sure hope that I have inspired some people today. If you want to go to heaven, then believe in Jesus and you will go to heaven.

John 3:16 says, “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten son, so that whosoever believes in him shall not perish but have everlasting life.” Jesus said those words and he said that you were supposed to believe in Jesus the son of God no matter what.

Thank you all for listening in on this blog post. I hope that I have been an inspiration and a hope to you all. Please pray, read your bible, go to church, and love God above all else. Like, comment, share, subscribe, and I will see you all next time. German Gonzalez, signing out!
