A talent that doesn’t want to worship God, is a useless talent. -says me.
I remember back when I first started to play the guitar, I had already came to the realization that God is the sole purpose in life. I had already come to the terms that I would use all of my talents for the Lord. I told myself that I would get good at the guitar only for God.
It turns out that I was onto something.
Not only did I become really good at guitar, but I also became a really good person at everything that I did.
In reality, all that anything really needs is practice, determination, patience, willingness to learn and grow, and live through the process of becoming the person that you were supposed to become.
But if it could only be that easy.
At this point, I would like all of us to take a moment of silence and pray for all of the things that are in our lives. Take a minimum of 5 minutes and pray for all of the things in our lives.
Now back to the show
How to use your talents for God
So, if you’ve already decided that you need patience, determination, strength, willingness to learn, persistence, and the ability to go through the process that it takes to become the person that you want to be, then it’s time that you seek God.
Why? Because God has all of the things that you need in order to be the person that you want to become.
For example the guitar, you need loads of persistence, determination, strength, willingness to learn, practice, patience, time, resources, to actually become a guitarist.
If you’re a kid, you will almost never have any of those at your disposal.
So where are you supposed to get any of those things from? You get them from God.
When I was a kid, I didn’t grow up rich. I didn’t have resources that could get me any of the guitar equipment that I could’ve needed as a guitarist.
What I did have was God.
I had God at my side and I prayed to him day and night before the practice session. I would pray and I would say, “Lord, if you make me a great guitarist, then I will use it for you.” and sure enough, I became a great guitarist.
And then I said, “Lord, if you make me a great MUSICIAN, then I will use it for you.”
Sure enough, I won an award from the Kennedy Center in Washington D.C. that said I was the best musician in my high school.
So out of 2000 kids, I was the best musician.
Another reason for using your talents for God
So in reality, it’s pointless to do anything without God. Everything is vain. Everything is hevel.
I mean so what If you become a president? You’re still going to die in the end.
So what if you sell a million albums? You’re still going to die?
So what if you change people’s lives? None of that is going to save you from death.
The only thing that saves us from death is God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit. Jesus died for our sins so that we may go to heaven. Therefore, why would you want to do anything outside of that?
If you know that Jesus is the ultimate reason for your existence, shouldn’t you use your talents for him? Whatever your talent may be, if it’s physical strength, God will find a way to use your physical strength, if it’s the ability to write, God will find a way for your writing skills, If it’s music, or education, or medical ability, God will always find a way to use your talents.
Pray to God to help you figure out what your talent is if you don’t already know what your talent is supposed to be.
I prayed to God for a lot of things. I prayed to God to help me to be a lot of things and he always answered one way or another.
I prayed to God to make me strong, I prayed to God to make me a musician, I prayed to God to help me with this blog and he’s done it all.
God will answer your prayers too so never count God out.

I sure hope that I have inspired some people to go out there and start living their lives for the Lord. If you have a talent and are unsure about what to do with it, then pray to God to help you to know what to do with your talents and he will answer.
If you want to go to heaven, then believe in Jesus and you will go to heaven.
