So, I just recently came up with something that’s going to help me to be more productive. More productive in all of the things that I do. 

Currently, I am getting really good at actually doing things that are difficult to do. The difficult things are doing the things that you don’t want to do. The things that are new in our lives take a little bit of time to do because that’s just the way that life is. 

Therefore, I want you guys to help me to figure out what are the things that I need to do on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis. 

For this instance I am not talking about taking a shower, brushing teeth, and all that jazz. I am talking about the things that I need to do in order to further my career in my present job, and my future jobs. 

With that being said, let’s take a moment of prayer.

At this time, I would like all of us to take a moment of prayer and pray for all of the things in our lives. Pray for a minimum of five minutes. 

Now back to the show

The schedule

So, I want to make a schedule of all of the things that I want to do. There are some things that I want to do on a daily basis and I’ll go over them here. And there are some things that I want to do on the weekends.

So, without further ado, here are some things that I want to do on a daily basis.

  1. Workout preferably in the mornings. I want to workout in the mornings because that’s the time that I have right now to dedicate for the gym. I still want my strength and physique goals. I don’t want to be overweight. I want to be at my weight. Right now I don’t look fat, but my BMI says otherwise. I mean I have a slight gut, but that’s it. I don’t want that gut anymore. I want to be lean and cut. 
  2. Work. I actually work 4 days a week right now. I work Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. I will work sometimes on Thursdays but that’s only when someone calls off. That’s usually between 10 A.M. and 4 P.M. I used to have a full time schedule until covid hit and then we reduced hours significantly. So, I was planning on heading over to work right after the gym. I could shower at the gym and just head on over to work no problem. 

***Now the after noon is where things change and could change on a day to day basis. I want to do things daily but I want to split up my times right before dinner so that I can still strengthen my Musicianship, blog, and computer skills for the certification that I am getting. 

I need exactly 3 hours for all of them. 

  1. Musicianship. There is so much that I want to do with music. I want to learn how to mix. I already know how to mix, it’s just that  I want to develop the ears for mixing and being able to make the right sound adjustments for mixing. I also want to produce. Producing is a monster in and of itself. But my main focus is songwriting. I want to songwrite really well. I want to be able to produce great quality songs on the lyrical and melodic level. Let’s not forget the fact that I also want to be a great singer and guitarist. All of those things just take a ridiculous amount of time. And I can’t fit all of those things all at once. So what I’ve decided to do is to focus on one or two elements and get really strong in those elements and then proceed in the next environment in a year or so. So, the main components that I want to focus on is songwriting and mixing. Those are my main components that I want to focus on. I can still do some producing, but I don’t want that to be my main focus as of right now. 
  2. Computer repair. I need to have a fall through just in case my music career doesn’t work. I mean, I know that I can be successful if I just really applied myself. But in reality, I don’t want to take the chance that there is no other musician out there that’s better than me. I mean, I do stand my ground when it comes to musicianship talent, but there’s always someone out there who knows more or is more talents or something. Therefore, I want to get good at computer repair and I want to take my time at it so that When it comes time to actually perform what I need to know, I will know it. 
  3. And last but not least, this blog. I know that this blog is doing good because well, i’ve actually managed to get this far. God is helping me to write in this blog and I know it. This blog could be something really big if I just work hard at it, but it still requires time to make it something big. Ultimately, God will be the one to make it into something great. 

So now what? 

Well I’m going to make a schedule and I’m going to focus on specific aspects of who I am each day. Since I still do play pool and I’m getting better at it, I am going to try and go to play pool on Saturdays. I’ll be honest, I play a lot of pool on downtime at work mainly because it’s required of me to play pool with everyone else who wants to. And I am getting good at it. I know now it’s just a matter of time before I actually run the table. 

But even still it’s not my main focus.
