Revelation (A free verse poem)

The blast of the planets crashing around. I stand from the sky just watching around. The sky is painted with blood red. Right after God arose the dead. 

I see the beasts that worship the Lord. and all they cry is that they want more. Of the spirit that the Lord has given. The one that looks like a lion comes to mind. With eyes all over the front and behind. It has wings like an eagle and is great and magnificent. It’s the leader of all the rest of the beasts. It cries holy, holy, holy is the Lord God almighty. Who was and is and is to come. The rest of the beasts follow pursuit. They rest not day and night crying the same cry. I see them in heaven along with the lamb. The lamb that was slain is standing. It shifts back and forth between a lamb and a lion. The lion of Judah surely did triumph. And there is one on a great white throne. And he alone holds the scroll. The one that tells who lives and dies. And yet no one is able to open it. I hear a cry from one of the beasts and he says “Fear not for the lamb is worthy!” and then the lamb goes and grabs the book. And now he can read who’se names are in it. 

I feel this passion in my heart. I feel a strength stronger than the sun. This feeling I have is filled so great. I know now just what it is. It’s the Lord burning a fire in my heart. 

It makes me happy and joyous at all the above. For there is one who has read my name. And has given me life 

Now, after all the tears that I’ve ever cried, the Lord of Lord’s will one day wipe. And no more will I know pain. For the Lord of Lord’s will come again. 

I sometimes see Judgement day. The spirit that killed the fishes away. The spirit that cursed the evil on earth. The spirit that wages war against evil. 

That same spirit called us Christians.
