Resources for Christian bloggers

Hey guys! I decided to write this blog post because I saw that there was a hole in the gap for how to become a better writer or become a better blogger. But more so, I wanted to share these truths to Christians because I know that Christian writers are absolutely needed in this day and age. 

Anyways, let’s get into our moment of silence first.

At this time, I would like all of us to take a moment of silence and pray for all of the things in our lives. Pray for absolutely everything. Take a minimum of 5 minutes and pray for everything in your lives.

Resources 

This list is not exhaustive, but it will have a lot of useful tools that you can use in order to become a better blogger, writer, internet personality, etc. etc. 

Anyways here is the list of resources. 

Purdue OWL

Now I know what some of you are thinking, “German, Purdue OWL is about essays and college writing, it’s not about blogs! How can I grow as a blogger with Purdue OWL?” 

Well, think a little bit about this for a second, it’s about writing. 

I know that Purdue OWL has “professional” writing in mind, however, there are some general writing things in there that would serve to be useful for you as a blogger. 

I can’t remember quite clearly, but I think that they even have a section dedicated to blogging. 

I personally use the punctuation section a lot because I want to improve my comma and punctuation usage. I struggle with that a lot. 

But there are other sections in there that you would absolutely benefit from if you want to become a great writer or blogger.

I know that I’ve used the research section quite a few times when writing for this blog. 

They also have great tips on writing style and diction. 

Youtube

YouTube I think is a great resource. I learn a lot about blogging and writing in general from YouTube. 

I’ve learned how to create persuasive essays, how to construct thesis’, and just become a great writer. 

But not only that, with YouTube, you  can learn so much about the world and what’s going on in it. 

You can learn what are some trends in your niche, what people are saying about your niche, you can learn!

I mean I guess you could do the same with a bunch of other social medias, but I like to use YouTube because it’s fun and engaging and it’s very explanatory.

The internet in general

I know what some of you are saying, “German no duh?” haha! Well hear me out.

I have heard from people who work in the government that the CIA will trade MILLIONS of dollars for information! 

It’s strange right! Millions of dollars for information about particular subjects. 

We don’t personally need the information that the CIA has. But how much information is already on the internet for us to readily use? 

I mean, I one time heard that there are almost an uncountable amount of hours of video on YouTube, now some of that is for pleasure and entertainment, but I mean a lot of it is educational. 

And if you were to take all of the education that is on YouTube and try and put it in your head, I mean you would become an expert in a lot of things! 

Now that’s YouTube, how about google? Just imagine all of the possibilities that you can do while you learn through google.

I mean you could learn all of college calculus through YouTube and google alone! You could become an expert writer through all of the lessons that are on google and YouTube. You could learn how to fix cars, use machinery, play pool ball, play guitar, sing, type, etc. etc. 

And you get all of that information at such an affordable rate.

I sure hope that I have inspired some people out there to start chasing after their dreams. Remember, nothing is impossible with God, so go out and chase God.
