Diary Entry: The Lord is convicting my heart of something

Hey everyone! So, right now I want to talk to you about something that the Lord has put in my heart regarding my life.

Before we go any further, let’s have our moment of silence and pray for all of the things that are in our lives. 

At this time, I would like all of us to take a moment of silence and pray for the things in our lives. Take a minimum of 5 minutes and pray for the things in your lives. 

Now back to the show

The Lord is convicting me about my relationship with him

So, my pastor said something interesting to me one of these days a little bit before church. He said that he believes that the Lord wanted to bless me with a young lady but the problem is that I need to be with God first before I can have a woman in my life. 

And it peaked my interest in what he said because it occurred to me that thought that I hadn’t had the right perspective of God and I had to get right with God first before I get married. 

I mean sure it’s true that I believed in God and I read the bible and I prayed, but how much of God do I actually incorporate in my life? 

I don’t 

Therefore, I need to put more of God in my life or else I just won’t have the things that I wanted in life. 

And it’s nothing new. The bible says that the Lord knows what we need before we ask and pray for it. 

And it also says that if you put God first in your life, then you will have what you wanted and what you needed. 

So, I really can’t help but to think that my relationship with God is just plain weak right now. 

I know that I pray to him every day. And I know that I try and follow his word on a daily basis.

However, do I follow him till the ends of the earth is the question? Do I follow God through the toughest times and all throughout my life? No I don’t. I don’t follow God all throughout my life, it’s impossible. 

But I can try and follow him more. And I know the areas which I need to work on. 

I need to go to church more often. I know that I pray a lot, so I don’t think that, that’s a problem, but I know that I need to read my bible more often because I hardly read that. 

I sometimes brag because I say that I’ve read the entire bible over the course of my lifetime. However, that’s not true. I can’t tell you what all of the major and minor prophets talk about. I can’t even recal the beginning of the book of lamentations. Or even worse, the book of Leviticus and that’s the book of the LAW! 

But I can recal large amounts of the new testament. I’ve read the gospels a lot. But even still it’s a far cry from knowing everything that there is to know about God.

I sure hope that I have inspired some people out there to pray to God about all of the things in their lives. 

Remember if you want to live forever, then believe in Jesus and you will live forever.
