Self-Promotion for Christian musicians

Hey guys! Today, I will go over some self promotion techniques that you can use in order to become a self-promoted musician. 

In older times, we as musicians needed the help of a promoter or agent in order to get our whos booked or to get record deals signed. 

Nowadays, we can self-promote from the very comfort of our own houses. 

Today, I will go over some Self-Promotion Techniques specifically for Christian musicians.

However, if you’re a professional in other fields, you can use some of these techniques that I’m about to share with you in order to expand your business or reach.

Before we get into that, let’s have our moment of silence. 

At this time, I would like all of us to take a moment of silence. Pray for all of the things that are in your lives. Pray so that God can help you to better understand your word and hopefully through this blog post, you can grow yourself into being a better professional.

Blogging 

There is a saying that I have heard in the past. The saying is that the writers are the one’s who rule the world. 

The people who write are the one’s in control .

It’s funny because as a songwriter, you are a type of writer. Therefore, it makes sense that songwriters gain so much influence over people’s lives because they are writing all the time. 

When you’re a blogger, you are sharing a message to the world. You are talking with people who love what you have to say.

And don’t get me wrong, it takes time to being able to build a good blog with a message that people will want to hear. But the journey is all that matters anyways. 

Not only that, but blogging is a way that you can sell your music, merch, and announce tours and ticket sales. 

Also blogging is the best way to boost your sites SEO. 

For those of you that don’t know, SEO is Search Engine Optimization. SEO can translate to how many people will look at your site. 

The more you blog, the better your SEO will be. Until one day, you have so much leverage on the internet that you are number one. 

I’m not saying that you’re going to be number one, but I am saying that you can get far if you just stick to writing in your blog. 

YouTube 

Having a YouTube channel is a great Idea to have. It showcases your music. And it’s another similar platform like blogging that will boost SEO the more videos you put up. 

I know what some of you are saying, “But German, when you make YouTube videos you’re not writing, you’re making videos! How is it that the people that write are the one’s who rule the world when YouTube creators make their own videos and get millions of dollars?” 

Well actually it’s only a minority of the people that don’t write out their YouTube videos. Actually it’s part of production that you write out scripts for your videos in order to make it more interesting, funny, educational, etc. etc. 

So, like even YouTube creators write out their own videos. It’s cool! 

Concerts/ Churches

Never underestimate the power of a good concert. Performing live will tell your audience that you are real and the real deal. 

Performing live venues get people excited about your music.
