The Christian Rock Star Club

So, I had this wild idea. My goal was to make music a VIABLE profession. What do I mean by that? I mean I hear of stories of how professional musicians make 50k a year on average. However, In some areas that’s just not enough. HAHA, the term “starving artist” could not be more serious. 

I read that most musicians in my area make 40 to 50k a year. And the average household income in my area is 90K. Rent alone is around 1800 a month for a two bedroom apartment. You do the math. 

So, my goal is to make music a viable profession. One where you can live off of and still have a family and pay the bills and have a little left over for fun things! 

There is a big misconception that music is not profitable unless you were born with it, but I say that anything is possible as long as you have God. 

So, I wanted to make this club in Northern Virginia dedicated to making music a profession. 

Before I go any further, let’s have our moment of silence. 

At this time, I would like all of us to take a moment of silence and pray for all of the things in our lives. Pray to God to help us to better understand what are the things that he wants us to do. Take a minimum of 5 minutes and pray for all of the things that are in your life.

The club

I call myself a professional musician. I don’t have a degree, but I certainly have the experience and knowledge to not only teach but become a great musician. 

I have a vast understanding of music to the point where I can talk about almost anything in music. 

Therefore, I was planning on making this club in northern Virginia in order to advance the fine arts of music. 

Specifically in Christian music. 

With the knowledge that I have as a Christian musician, we could really do a lot of good to the Christian music industry. 

In the club, we would talk about things such as Promotion, new songs, song ideas, demoing, producing, self-producing, mixing, mastering, anything related to the Christian music industry. 

I want to start this club in Woodbridge, but I don’t know. I don’t know if I’m ready for that type of commitment.
