20 song songwriting challenge

Hey guys, so I wanted to share with you all that I will be doing a songwriting challenge. One day, I’m going to wake up and for 12 hours straight, I’m going to write 20 songs. The point of this challenge isn’t to make a masterpiece. But rather, it’s to get as many ideas on paper or recorded as quickly as I can and then go over those ideas later. 

But before we get into that, let’s have our moment of silence

At this time, I would like all of us to take a moment of silence and pray for all of the things that are in our lives. Pray to God to help us to become the best possible songwriter that there is. Take a minimum of 5 minutes and pray for these things. 

Now back to the show

The challenge. 

Usually my off days are Thursdays and Saturdays and I want to take either of those days and do this challenge. 

The reason why I want to do this challenge is so that I can get better at songwriting. I really want to make songwriting a career, and in order to make it a career, I have to do the things that songwriters do first. 

I want to get some of my friends to do it with me. I want my friends to get challenged by this challenge because it will sharpen their songs too 

Also I don’t want to be alone while doing this. 

These kind of things help you to become a better musician.

Some problems that could occur

The first problem that could occur is that I don’t finish the challenge and I end up not writing enough songs. 

I’m concerned about it but not too concerned. Why? Because we all need to start somewhere and failing is part of the process. 

Also, I could not find any friends to make the songs with. 

It will be a lonely 12 hours that I’ll be making songs for. It’s going to suck, but hey, it’ll all be worth it in the end. 

The last challenge that I face in this challenge is that I won’t find enough time to actually make these songs. 

My days are usually very busy and I can’t ever seem to find enough time to do something new. It stinks in a way, but hey, it’s what I have to deal with.
