Diary Entry: How my relationship with God is affecting my music

Hey everyone! So today I will be sharing with you guys how my relationship with God is affecting my musicianship. It’s really an amazing thing that’s going on. The more I attempt to worship God, the more that my music skills develop.

Before we get into any more of that, let’s have our moment of silence.

At this time, I would like all of us to take a moment of silence and pray for all of the things in our lives. Pray to God to specifically help out your musicianship and to help you out in becoming the best possible musician that you were meant to be. Take a minimum of 5 minutes and pray for all of those things

My relationship with God

My relationship with God is growing alright. But not because of my musicianship. The Lord has put it in my heart to pray to him and ask him for directions. 

Ultimately, It is God who is guiding me more towards him every day. 

My musicianship is changing for the better because the Lord is putting patience inside of me to actually go through this music life. 

In case you guys didn’t know, music is a lot of patience and will take years before anyone actually notices you. 

I know it’s tough, but it’s what happens. 

My musicianship

I used to practice a lot. I used to practice things that were very difficult. However, I kind of found my comfortable spot in punk and some classic rock and that’s all I ever used to play. 

I never tried to get out of my comfort zone and do jazz or learn how to play difficult voicings, etc. etc. 

Even though I could play some voicings. 

However, now that I’m staying steady with the Lord, I am actually challenging myself to get out of my comfort zone. 

I am challenging myself to write great songs and practice on a daily and to practice my lyric writing, etc. etc. 

I am actually practicing singing and just overall my musicianship has improved.

I sure hope that I have inspired some people to go out there and start worshiping the Lord. Remember it is the Lord who gives us wisdom and knowledge to do the impossible.
