Diary Entry: Life-altering things

Hey everyone! So I have something really exciting happening in my life. The thing that is happening in my life is that my pastor wants me to be a part of a discipleship of his. He wants me to study the bible, I think, one on one. However, he’s made it very clear, that he wants me to be faithful to church first at the evening services on Wednesdays or Sunday nights. 

Before we get into this, let’s have our moment of silence. 

At this time, I would like all of us to take a moment of silence and pray for the things in our lives. I personally wish to do this discipleship with my church, however, is it God’s will? I want to with all my heart and I get super excited when I hear about things like this happening in my life. So, I pray that I may get into this discipleship. I want to learn so much about God, I feel as if though I’m missing out on a lot. But I have to attend church faithfully for a while before I can get this discipleship. So, I’m going to take some time to pray to God to help me to get into this discipleship. Pray for me please.

The discipleship 

I’ve been going to the church that I’m at for almost all of my life. I remember back when I was in 5th grade, I was still going to another church, my uncle’s church.

I had fun and great times at both churches, however, my mom decided to go to the church that we’re at now because of other reasons. 

She said that, that church was a good church and she believed that God was calling her over there. 

So we started going over there. And I started to listen to the preachings of this church. And I’ll be honest, I never looked up what the pastors told me, even though they said it would be a good idea for me. 

I believed that God was the one who was guiding me into the right hands. 

Later on in life, I realized that, that was incorrect of me. I should have listened to my pastors and done my own research. 

Not because they were wrong, which they weren’t. But rather, because I could encounter other people out there in the world who could try and tell me bible verses and I would have to be strong in the faith that I believe in. 

If I wasn’t sure about what I was thinking, then I would have to do research on the bible and figure out what is the correct answer from God. 

So, later on in life, I started to do my own research as to what is correct and what is not correct. And I started researching the bible on the internet. And sure enough I found a whole bunch of resources that explained to me what different things are. 

But of course, I had to find out on my own if those things were true, so I had to do some more research on the bible and pray and keep going to church. 

I’m not an expert on the bible or God and I believe that no one really is, but God has given me knowledge about him that is clearly wisdom. 

I can say faithfully and with absolute certainty that God loves everyone. 

I can say faithfully and with absolute certainty that God wants everyone in heaven. 

I can say faithfully and with absolute certainty that if you read the bible, you will become wiser. 

I can say faithfully and with absolute certainty that choosing to serve God and asking for forgiveness from Jesus and believing in Jesus are the best decisions that you could ever make in your life. 

I can say faithfully and with absolute certainty that prayer does work. 

There are things like this all over my life and they are true.
