The album is almost here!

Hey guys! So some news on my album. I know that it’s been a while since I’ve talked about my album, but I’m planning on sharing with you guys a video of me playing one of my songs. 

I actually think that the lead single is really good and I hope that you guys like it too. 

Before we get into any of this, let’s have our moment of silence. 

At this time, I would like all of us to take a moment of silence and pray for the things in our lives. Pray to God to make us the people that he wants. Ask God to make us good people. I know that I’m talking to a crowd of people who love God with all their hearts, but we ask God to make us more good because we are never done becoming good. Take a minimum of 5 minutes and pray to God to do these things

My album

So I looked back at my phone and all the songs that I’ve written on my phone. 

I actually have around 14 songs that I have fully written and I think that they are really well composed pieces of art. 

I can’t remember all of their names and I don’t want to share with you guys what their names are just yet! 

But I will share with you guys these songs through a video. 

I’ll be honest with you guys, it took me a while to write down all of these songs. 

Nearly 9 months since I wrote down one of the first songs for this album. 

I had already been writing songs for a while in my notebooks and other phones, but this is the first time that I’ve had songs that I can say are lyrically diverse and powerful. This is also the first songs that I’ve ever made that are musically sound. 

I love each and every one of these songs, but there are songs that will take the stage more often because they just sound a whole lot better. 

They are mainly emotional songs with a power ballad in between. But the point of the songs is to remind people just how powerful God is. 

I made them with the thought of glorifying God. They are some of the best songs that I’ve ever written. 

I’m thinking about selling them for 11 dollars an album. If you buy CD’s I might sell them cheaper. 

However, since resources are limited, I will mainly be doing digital sales. Of course I’ll get them on Apple Music and Spotify. But hopefully you guys can help a brother out and buy some of my albums! Haha! You would be the truest MVP. 

I’m going to be doing digital promotion like crazy in order to get the word out about this album and I know that my work will come to light because God is the one who is helping me. 

I also want to do local shows but I don’t really know where else to perform if it’s not the local coffee shop. I really don’t want to get into bars. I know that I’m not even supposed to think about going into bars. 

In reality, I know that I’m supposed to start with the church. Maybe I’ll sell a lot of albums through there. 

But hopefully I can make something good out of my music! Who knows, oh yeah, God knows! 

For the production, I mainly want it to sound like acoustic punk. Maybe like The Goo Goo dolls, or Ed Sheeran. Nothing too distorted, even though I wouldn’t mind a little distortion here and there. 

I know that Ed Sheeran is Pop, but he has a lot of acoustic stuff that honestly to me sounds like punk. I mean his first single was the A Team. Have you heard that song? Listen to it and tell me that it’s not the most emo thing that’s come out recently. I dare you to. 

Well it might not be the most emo thing but you get what I’m saying! 

But yeah, I want my music to have a few drums but mainly acoustics. If I’m lucky, I want to have a mixing engineer and be a part of the mixing process. 

I want to have background vocals, and nothing screaming! Haha! I know some of you indie musicians wanted something heavy but this is definitely not a heavy album. 

Maybe the next album. 

For the title of the album, I’m not sure what I want to name it. There are a few album names in my head: Notes about God, My love towards God, How god is so great!, and Paintings of the Lord. Those are a few of the album names that I want for my album but I’m not sure just yet. 

I’ll think about it. 

But the title of the album should also be a reflection of the themes that are talking about. And even though I do use a lot of imagery in this album, I’m not sure if Paintings of the Lord correctly describe the album. I mean it could be, “The Colors of the Lord.” but that sounds like I’m describing God visually and that’s not possible because I have never seen God so that would be inaccurate. 

I could also call it, “Punk Psalms”. Ahh well, I really don’t know what to call it, it would be fun if I could call it something that would define what Christians want. 

I mean I know that I hear sometimes, “Christian songs aren’t flavorful!” or, “Christian songs are boring!” I’m trying to make songs that would sound good to the mainstream Christian ears. So there’s that to consider too!

My team

The personnel working on this album is Me, Myself, and I (as of right now.) But who knows, God can always provide the right people to make the albums.

So, If you’re a producer out there in the Northern Virginia Area, maybe DMV, hit me up sometime. I want to hear what you’ve done in your past projects and also your credentials. 

Oh yeah, If you guys want some exposure, I will probably put up a contest in the future for someone to create an album cover for me. 

Artists hear me out! This Cover, I want it to be cool and Christian at the same time. It is possible. 

So, if you draw, be on the lookout for my blog posts because I want to get my fans involved in the album. My main goal is to be able to offer royalties paid out to the artists. That means that you’ll get a cut off of each album sale and stream. 

This is definitely not official. So don’t come up to me and send me a whole bunch of pictures right now because I’m definitely not ready. 

And the contest is NOT now.
