When there’s nowhere to turn

Hey everyone! Today, I’m going to  be dissecting lyrics from a song that I heard many years ago. It’s of course a Christian song. I’m just going to be sharing with you guys what I think the song means to me.

Before we get into it, let’s have our moment of silence

At this point in time, I would like all of us to take a moment of silence and pray to God to help us to become the best possible person that we were destined to become. Take a minimum of 5 minutes and pray for these things.

Now back to the show

My Refuge by Sonicflood

The song goes:

When there’s nowhere to turn

And there’s nothing that’s true

I know exactly what was going on with these guys when they wrote this song. The songwriter was going through some rough times and decided to write a song about it. 

And he says, I take my refuge, in the palm of your hands, I take my comfort in your holy plan. 

He was going through these rough times and he just had to write about what he was going through. 

And then he says, “When there’s nowhere to turn, and there’s nothing that’s true, I find my peace here in you!” 

Truly this is a blessing of a song. 

It hits so hard and it sounds so amazing. 

“IN you MY GOD, 

When there’s nowhere to turn, and there’s nothing that’s true, I find my peace here in you!!!!!”
