It’s always good to be alive and it’s always a good day to die

Hey everyone! So today, I want to share with you all my thoughts on death and how it relates to each one of us. 

Before we get into any of that, let’s have our moment of silence. 

At this time, I would like all of us to take a moment of silence and pray to God to help us to become the best people in our lives. Ask God to build us and to keep our eyes on him. Take a minimum of 5 minutes and pray to God for these things.

Why is it good to be alive?

So the reason why I started this blog post was because I read that it was Robin Williams’ birthday a few days ago. And of course we all know that he passed away by suicide a few years ago. 

So then I started to read about him and why he committed suicide. Ultimately, it was my personal belief that his own sin made him want to commit suicide. 

I’ve read things like he suffered from Depression, Anxiety, and other mental disorders. 

However, all of those things can be solved with God. 

God can heal all of those things and can make us walk straight in our paths. 

I know there are a lot of people out there who would argue otherwise but that’s what I believe. And ultimately, suicide is talked about in the bible. It says that only the foolish wish death upon themselves. It’s very clear about that. 

But why?

Well God has a lot of promises towards those that love him. 

One of those promises is happiness. Happiness is given by God towards those who love him with all their heart. 

And the happiness that God gives is eternal and long lasting. It’s not happiness that dwindles but rather happiness that perseveres. 

Don’t get me wrong, I’m not calling Robin Williams sinful or foolish. I loved watching his movies and I thought that he was a very brilliant actor and comedian. 

I absolutely loved watching him perform and I wish I could’ve been there for him on his last days. 

But ultimately, his spirits weren’t up. And if your spirits aren’t where they should be, then God has to intervene in your lives. 

There is something else that needs to be said about all of this. 

I know that there are a growing number of people that are clinically diagnosed with depression and anxiety and other mental illnesses. 

And ultimately it can happen to anyone, Christian or not. 

But what I am saying is that Robin just needed prayers. But prayers to God. Not prayers to anything. But prayers to the Lord of Lords, the King of Kings, the great I Am. God would have come to robin and saved him, I know so. 

Now, I have been depressed too, almost all my life. But I got out of it because I prayed to God to help me to get out of it. I prayed to God to make me happy and sure enough, God made me happy. 

Now, I pray consistently towards God to make me happy because I know that God is the source of happiness in the world. 

I have been a Christian and I thought I was really Christian all my life. 

But it wasn’t until recently that I realized, I wasn’t really Christian. I was just claiming a religion. 

I did believe in God and I did want to serve him with all truthness. But I didn’t take God seriously. I didn’t take God the way that I should have taken him. 

I’m not saying that Robin Williams would have been the same, but if we ask God to intervene in our lives, anything is possible. 

I pray that I might not have offended anyone in this blog post. Keep in mind that I’m using Robin Williams as an example and my goal for this blog post was to talk to people about suicide. 

I’m by no means a therapist or doctor so don’t take it as medical advice. This is just Christian advice. If you want happiness, then you need God. If you’re depressed, then you need God. If you need something bigger or greater than yourself, you need God. If you need a life worth living, you need God. God gives us purpose and life and through his mouth comes life. 

Why it’s always a good day to die

When it comes time to die, God would have prepared you for it. On your last moments here on earth, God is the only thing that matters. Why? Because then the next part of your life begins, Eternity. Now, you can be eternally saved or you can be eternally condemned. Your choice will lie here on this earth.

Eternally saved means that you live forever in happiness and light. Eternally condemned means that you’ll live forever in hell. 

There are also a few things that should be said about hell, it’s a big condemnation. It’s the worst condemnation. In hell, you will be tortured for all of your days. In hell you will be alone and dead. 

And no matter how long you wait. It could have been a million years and you still would not have shortened one bit of that sentence. 

But guess what? There’s a way out! God has provided a way out of hell. God wants you to become a part of heaven. He doesn’t want you to go to hell. He wants you to have faith in Jesus and he wants you to live. 

Having faith in Jesus means exactly that, life. 

Therefore, believe in Jesus and you will have life.
