Money isn’t the most important thing in the world

Hey everyone! So today, I’m going to be going over why money isn’t the most important thing in the world. I know that we as humans get confused with what important things are. 

But let’s get something straight here, Money isn’t the most important thing in the world. 

Before we get into any more of this, let’s have our moment of silence. 

At this time, I would like all of us to take a moment of silence and pray to God to help us to become the people that he wants us to become. Take a minimum of 5 minutes and pray to yourselves these things.

Money Lessons 101

So the most important thing to remember about money is that money is not bad in and of itself. It’s the love of money that’s the root of all evils. 

The love of money makes people do evil things in their lives. It in a way possesses people to do things that they wouldn’t normally do. 

However, there is a purpose to money. God has purposes for everything in life. 

I’m not sure what that purpose is. Some people say that the purpose of money is to bring us closer to God. I can believe that because money is a good thing. And money is given to us by God. We as Christians know that God is the provider of all things for everything belongs to him. 

If we ever receive anything, we cannot be so prideful and say that it was because of yourself that you got it, but rather, humble yourself and say that the Lord has given it to you. 

Money is also not the most important thing in the world. There have been times in my life where I didn’t have a lot of money, but I had a decent amount and you know what I said to myself in those times? I said, “I need more.” 

I remember I used to work in a job that paid 7.25 an hour and I was working 30 hours a week. I loved that job and then I said to myself that, that’s not enough to get by through college. So, I found another job. And I’m not going to lie, This job was paying me a considerable amount more than the first job. 

I was making 18 to 20 dollars an hour and I was working 30 hours a week. 

After taxes were taken out, I would come home with between 750 to 1050 dollars every two weeks. It was a considerable raise from my previous job. 

And so I worked, and the only thing that I said to myself was, “I need more.” Now, keep in mind that I have just MORE THAN DOUBLED my previous paycheck. And the only thing that I could say was, “I need more.” 

So eventually, I got into another job, and I’m not going to lie on average this job was paying me between 900 dollars and 1200 dollars every two weeks after taxes were taken out. 

That was a considerable raise from my previous job, and the only thing that I could say was, “I need more.” 

So like, you see that pattern right? We could have all the amount of money in the world and we would still say, “We need more.” Our lustful souls are never satisfied with what we have and are more interested in getting the things that we would want. 

Also, money can’t buy the most important things in life. Money cannot buy love, happiness, your way into heaven, money can’t get you security, peace, and money can’t make you a good person. 

The only one who offers those things are God.

Remember, money isn’t the most important thing that there is in the world. Money can’t get you everything. Money makes life comfortable and can do things. Money has it’s place in the world and don’t get me wrong, it’s not bad to have money. But we have to prioritize the important things first in our lives. And the important thing in our life is God.
