Hey everyone! So today, I’m going to go over what is the best part of a musicians journey.

Before we get into that, Let’s have our moment of silence.

At this time, I would like all of us to take a moment of silence and pray to God to help us to become the best possible musician that we are supposed to become. Take a minimum of 5 minutes and pray to God for these things.

Now back to the show

The best part of a musician’s journey is…

The best part of a musician’s journey is the journey itself. It’s plain and simple really. It’s a big journey that you have to travel, but it is worth it in the end.

There are quite a few reasons why I say that the best part of the musician’s journey is the journey itself. Let’s go over why.

  1. The success is great and all but it didn’t get you there. When you first start out in the journey of a musician, or anything for that matter, the journey is a humbling point in that person’s life. It is the patience point where you have to wait and endure all of the things that it takes to become the person that you have to become. Do you think that famous athletes have an easy time? Just sitting around and playing video games all day? No, Athletes have to consistently train and get better at their game or else they will lose all of their credibility. Likewise, when you are going through the phases of being a professional musician, you need to be humbled first before you can go and do great things. You need to find humility and patience first before you can get the rewards.
  2. You learn a lot. I know we’re all eager to get to the final product of being rich and famous, however, do you even know what it takes to become the professional in the career that you want to get into? I mean like, Let’s be honest, do you know all of the things that are needed in order to become a professional musician? Do you know of all the things that are needed in order to become a professional basketball player? A professional soccer player? A professional anything? In almost all professions, you’re going to have to work hard at all of the things that you’re going to do in order to get money. It’s the way that money works. The harder you work, the more money you get. It’s simple. More work= more money.
  3. The journey is more fun than the results. I’m not going to lie, I’ve been the best at a lot of things in life. And I’ll be honest that the fun is in the climb. I know I’m quoting Miley Cyrus here, but it’s true! The climb is the most fun part of the whole thing. Why? Beause you’re always challenging yourself to be the better musician, you’re always hungry, you’re always looking up ways to get better at songwriting or guitar or singing and there’s always something new to explore. When you’re at the top, you’re reminded of something dark and cold but it’s true. You’re reminded that all is vanity. Everything is vanity and that the only thing that matters is God. The journey is fun don’t get me wrong, but whatever it is that you’re chasing isn’t going to make you happy. What’s going to make you happy is God.

Remember that I’ve been the best at a few things in life and so I know what I’m talking about when I say that there is a cold reminder that it’s all in vain that we strive to get rich on earth. And the only thing that isn’t vain is God.

I know that it’s difficult to believe that, especially for you youngsters, but this is coming from a dude who has lived his life. This is coming from a dude who is 26 years old and has been successful. It’s really vain sometimes having to go through the process and realizing that it’s really only not what you wanted.

If it’s all vain, then why should I even look in that direction? Why should I even work if I’m just going to die?

Well God asks us to work too. God asks us to be hard workers. It’s actually a curse that we have that we are supposed to work.

God originally did not have it so that we were supposed to hate our jobs, but rather, God had it so that we were supposed to enjoy our work and love what we do and not be stressed about the sins and problems in our lives.

But God did leave us to work and we have to obey otherwise, it’s God whose going to come after us.

Don’t overthink it either. I mean we have to work and that’s that. Don’t try and change destiny because we all have to work in our lives. I know that it’s a tough pill to swallow but God helps us to accept that kind of humility. Just put all your trust in him and he shall guide you.

I sure hope that I have been an inspiration and a hope to you all. Remember, it’s God who makes everything worth our while. God is the one who provides for us. God is the one who gives us the things that we need in our lives. So if you ever need anything, remember to ask God to give it to us because he will do so if it’s according to his will.
