Hey everyone! So today, I’m going to share with you all my marketing plan for my Christian music.

Before we get into that, Let’s have our moment of silence.

At this time, I would like all of us to take a moment of silence and pray to God to help us to become the people that he wants us to become. Take a minimum of 5 minutes and pray for these things.

Now back to the show

My music marketing plan

I believe in baby steps. I believe in baby steps for every step that you take. I mean sure you might take bigger steps in the future, but when you first start out, I believe in taking small steps to make a better future.

The same goes to my music marketing plan. I started out with baby steps, and I think I’m going to keep going on with this plan.

But you probably say, “German, what do you actually do to market your music?”

Well here it is, but before I tell you, just know that I’m planning on growing this plan in the future.

I plan on doing more, and I will show you in this blog post.

Basically it’s just to blog for now

The only thing that I’m doing in order to share my music and promote is to blog.

But that’s what I’m doing for now.

The reason is because blogging itself takes an immense amount of time to do.

It’s actually recommended that if you want to have a successful blog, you should work at it for like 6 hours a day, everyday!

And I know the rules of music marketing: use Facebook to your advantage, be on twitter, write in a blog, make a YouTube Channel and put up content. I know those things.

However, each one of those things takes an insane amount of time to do. It’s not something that just anyone can do.

Personally, I tried to add Facebook to my list of things that I need to include in my promotional mix. However, It took me an hour to get I think 150 views to one video.

Now don’t get me wrong, it looks good on my social media to have a video that has 150 views. And I would do it, but blogging can get me so much more, and I feel like I’m so much closer to blogging success than I am with Facebook success.

I’ve also tried to make YouTube videos. It’s difficult! I remember I one time made a completely AMAZING video. And it took me a whole WEEK to make it. And not only that, but I was working at it for a few hours each day.

How am I supposed to practice making music, write in a blog, put stuff on Facebook, make YouTube videos, and be on Twitter all at the same time? There’s just not enough time in the day.

Plus I have a day job right now that I need to attend to. I have friends who want to hang out with me.

And I know that hanging out with friends is a little bit less on the totem pole. However, it’s still things that take up time!

My plan for the future (aka after my blog takes off)

So right now, my blog is actually getting views and traffic. Which is definitely good! It hasn’t blown up yet, but it’s getting views and traffic. On a better than average day, I could probably get around 10 views.

On an average day it’s more like between 4 and 6. If I really work hard, I could probably get like 15 views on a single day.

And that’s good! But I’m saying that once I’m getting around 30,000 to 50,000 views a month is when I’ll start using different forms of promotion in my promotional mix.

The reason for that is because I can rely on my blog to provide some “resources” to me. And by “resources” I mean money.

I might be able to invest more time in my music if I had the proper resources.

Anyways.

I might go for Facebook first because I had such success in Facebook when I first did that.

I mean 150 views could be considered viral to some people.

Afterwards, I’m going to make a YouTube channel and maybe even a patreon.

All the while I’m going to try and interact with people on Twitter. I’m going to make it my goal to do these things by the end of next year.
