Hey everyone! So today, I want to share with you all my best music advice for up and coming artists.

But before we get into that, Let’s have our moment of silence.

At this time, I would like all of us to take a moment of silence and pray to God to help us to become the people that he wants us to become.

Take a minimum of 5 minutes and pray for these things.

Now back to the show

My business tips

So there are a whole plethora of tips that anyone can give for the business side of music.

However, the first thing that you should do is to actually copyright your songs.

I know that seems a little on the obvious side, but you’ll be surpirised to find that there are artists out there who will sell themselves short just to get ahead in their career.

Now I’m not saying that you can’t give away your music for free or maybe give your beats for free.

But what I am saying is that you should price yourself accordingly.

Don’t say that just because no one wants to buy your music right now, that no one will ever buy your music ever.

That’s a lie, that’s not the truth, and you need to think to yourself that your music is worth more than selling out!

That’s another tip that I have.

Don’t sell yourself short.

IF you have something of value, you shouldn’t want to compromise getting paid for recognition.

Now of course in your early game you might give your music to your friends for free and that would help you out.

But if you’re marketing correctly to the right people, then there should be no reason as to why you can’t make money off of your music.

If you think that you’re not providing enough value, then provide enough value.

Honestly, if you don’t think that you’re providing enough value with your music, then you probably aren’t making good enough songs.

Try focusing some more effort on creating rock solid songs and instrumentals, that way you have no doubt that what you are sending out there is 100% Gold.

Marketing

I mentioned marketing earlier, but I can’t stress just how important it is that you market your music.

However, there are a lot of tips that I have learned about marketing over the years.

I often say to start a blog, but today we’re going to go a little deeper when it comes to marketing.

As a business, we should have a certain persona in mind when marketing.

We need to understand our customers.

IF you can, you need to invest a little bit of time into a business plan. This will give you a clear guide to how you can better achieve your dreams.

Networking

Networking is important in any industry. However, usually networking is best when you have something of value to offer someone else.

I personally like Networking, it’s a chance to meet new people. It’s fun!

But when you network, you need to have a clear goal in mind, you need to find the people that pertain to your industry and roll with it.

But basically, treat networking as if though you  are making friends. Treat it nice and easy, give honor and respect to the people that you are dealing with.
