Attention all soldiers. Attention all fighters, attention to all people who have fought hard in this life, I have wisdom that will give you strength to endure all things.

Before we get into that, let’s have our moment of silence.

At this time, I would like all of us to take a moment of silence and pray to God to help us to become the people that he wants us to become. Take a minimum of 5 minutes and pray for these things.

Now back to the show

How to go through life’s battles

People can try and say words that comfort you. People can try and say things that will have good intentions.

And in the middle of the battle, sometimes it seems like there is no hope for us.

However, there is hope for us.

But that hope lies within God. It lies within Jesus. It lies within the things that the Lord has ordered us to do.

So, in order to go through life’s battles, we need to be with God.

Let me share with you all one battle that I’ve had in my life and how exactly it was God who had the victory in my life.

My music

I remember back when I was a kid, I would often beg and ask my parents to give me a guitar.

And they would always tell me no.

But then I said to myself, “you know who knows me more than my parents? You know who loves me more than my parents? You know who sees the future? My God does! And so I’ll ask God to give me a guitar.”

And so I started to pray for a guitar.

Eventually, my dad got me a guitar and I played that guitar like there was no tomorrow.

However, I thank God for that guitar that my dad gave me because both my dad and my mom didn’t want me to have a guitar, and it was God who put the will in them to get me a guitar!

And so I started to teach myself how to play the guitar and finally at the end of the year, I prayed to God to give me lessons that are free.

Because I was looking at guitar lessons and they were really expensive.

Sure enough that same year, they opened up the guitar program at my middle school and high school and I was able to learn guitar from great teachers.

And not only that, but my hands were BLESSED with music. The Lord was the one who put diligence for music. The Lord gave me skill after skill after skill, he made me a master musician. He was the one who did that.

I mean, have I told you guys all of the things that I did in music? I skipped two grades in guitar my freshmen year of high school. I was in honors choir my first year of choir, I know how to play guitar, piano, bass, and I sing. I was in honors Jazz band, symphonic band, concert band, I was in Music theory and I aced that class. The thing is that Music theory has a high failure rate and I aced that class as a Junior! I was nominated for scholarships in music, I was pit captain for the high school marching band for 3 years! I was first chair in guitar, I was second tenor in choir, I was nominated as a backup for the district choir my senior year, I was the lead guitarist at all of the high school’s big concerts. Everyone wanted me to play the solos. I could rap and I mean I could rap EXCELLENTLY. I know how to rap the entire song look at me now by Busta Rhymes and Lil Wayne. I of course don’t do those songs anymore because they curse a lot, but trust me that I can do it. And that’s not all. I had a list of rap songs that I could rap a mile long and growing by the time I finished high school. I produce hip-hop songs, I songwrite, I won the most outstanding music student award from the Kennedy Center in Washington D.C.

And you know what? I thank God for all of that. Why? Because all of those things took a lot of hard work to do and ultimately, God was the one who helped me to do all of those things.

It takes a lot of internal strength to push past all of the difficulties in life and still practice your music. But I did it, not because I could because I don’t have that kind of strength, but because the Lord was the one who could put it in me. The Lord was the one who put that in me. The Lord was the one who gave me music. The Lord was the one who made me an excellent musician.

If he can help me, he can help you.
