How do I know for sure if I’m in the will of God

There are actually a few ways that you can know for sure that you are in the will of God. 

Before we get into it, let’s have our moment of silence. 

At this time, I would like all of us to take a moment of silence and pray to God to help us to become the person that he wants us to become. Take a minimum of 5 minutes and pray to God for this. 

Now back to the show

The bible

There are certain things that you should know that God wants you to do from the bible. 

By reading the bible, we can better discern for ourselves what is the literal and implied will of God. 

I mean if it says to love people, then you know for sure that you are supposed to not hurt anyone! Even though that’s directly said in the bible, you get what I’m saying. 

But the bible has a lot of things that still apply to us today. 

We are to not kill, steal, take the name of the Lord in vain, swear, we are to listen to our parents, we are to love him with all that we are. But above all things, we are supposed to love God with all our hearts.

If we love God with all our hearts and love our neighbor as ourselves, then this world would get along just great. 

By praying

We discern what is the will of God by praying to God to reveal to us his will. I mean yes it’s true that we can find the will of God through the bible, but it will not show us what we are supposed to do in our lives individually. 

Some people are called to be soldiers, policemen, teachers, musicians, etc. etc. So, we need to pray to God to reveal to us what is his will for our lives. 

I personally think that God called me to be a musician and live the musician life. However, God can call me to do a wide array of things, I just need to work hard at all that he gives me and I will do the will of God. 

I have prayed many times to God to reveal to me what I should do with my life. And each time I come to the conclusion that I should stick with the music and God will be the one to take care of me. 

You know it’s difficult for me to accept that because ultimately, it’s the truth, I need to be a musician because the Lord has called me to be a musician. 

I want to do it too! I want to live the musicians life with all my heart, but it’s disheartening having to go through the phases of being a starving artist.

It’s funny because I kept saying to myself that it would be easier if I got into a sport and started from the BEGINNING ALL OVER AGAIN in a field than it would be for me to succeed in music. 

But ultimately, that’s my sin talking to me. That’s the devil getting me to ignore what I was supposed to become. What God wanted me to become. 

But I kept praying and praying and I figured out that the Lord wants me to be a musician. The Lord wants me to make music. 

The Lord, he gives me resources and equipment to record my music. The Lord gives me songs that sound good. The Lord has provided all of the things that I needed in order to come out with music and I need to use it for him. 

Conclusion

So by praying and reading the bible, you can know for sure of what is the true will of god for your life.
