Hey everyone! So today, I’m going to share with you all how to write an online Christian music journal.
Before we get started, let’s have our moment of silence.
At this time, I would like all of us to take a moment of silence and pray to God to help us in our journey to make great things for him. Ask God to give us good things. Ask God to help us to stay humble.
Now back to the show
Step 1: start off easy
Well actually this depends on you. I don’t know who you are or what your background is. However, if you actually write consistently and often all the time, then I would say that you don’t have to start off writing easily. You can instead jump into the deep waters and get writing like a madman.
However, if you’re new to writing professionally, then I would say that it’s best to start off easy as a beginner writer.
It’s a little bit different to write blog posts than it is to write essays. In essays it’s highly formal and very structured.
In a blog post, you are trying to appeal to the masses and communicate effectively in easy language so that everyone can understand.
In a blog post, you don’t follow the typical essay format where you have to write 5 sentences in a paragraph.
Instead you break down sentences even further so that it’s easier to scan and read.
It’s very difficult to read huge chunks of text at a time, so often it’s best to just break it down.
For these new skills that you would have to learn, and plenty of other skills too, it would take a bit of a learning curve in order to actually grasp the concepts well enough for you to actually use it to your advantage.
And if you weren’t good at writing to begin with, then it could take you even longer to write great blog posts.
I personally wasn’t that good at writing when I first started to blog. However, I really wanted my blog to succeed and I wasn’t going to let anything stop me from succeeding in my blog. So, I started to teach myself how to write by using online articles and reading different websites and going to different sources to see how to get better at writing.
Anyways, that’s how I got better at writing. Plus my friend was helping me to write better. She was giving me all sorts of bits of advice on how to write.
Step 2 Be sure you know well enough about what you’re talking about
I get it you want to write about Christian music.
However, it takes more than just Christian music to be able to write about Christian music.
You have to know how to write about blogging and marketing, social media, producing music, music industry, music business, music theory, etc. etc.
I mean you could write solely about guitar or singing, However, if you want to establish yourself as a professional in the field of music, I would say that a little bit of everything in depth knowledge needs to be addressed.
If you’re not the expert in your field, you could at least do your research and cite your sources.
But of course in order to add any value to that, you need to know something about it first, so get your hands dirty and go out and experience what some of the things are that you need to know about.
Step 3 Never stop writing
Writing can and will help to produce high quality products. Write often and never forget your end goal to be a successful blogger.
Nowadays, if you want to be a successful writer, you can find different critique groups on Facebook to critique your work.
And the more you post up on those pages, the more you will learn how to write more effectively.
