Hey everyone! So today, I want to share with you all what the easiest way to stay committed to God is.

Before we get into it, let’s have our moment of silence.

At this time, I would like all of us to take a moment of silence and pray to God to help us to understand more of him. Ask God to help us to stay committed to him no matter what happens. Take a minimum of 5 minutes and pray for these things.

Now back to the show

Diary Entry: The easiest way to stay committed to God.

You know it’s funny, us as humans are a commitment type creature.

What do I mean by that?

I mean that for all of the good things that there are in our lives, we have to find some sort of level of commitment to see the rewards of actually seeking what we want.

I mean some of you could say that some of us are born into riches and don’t have to work for much. However, is that really true? Do we, even though we’re rich, have to work for the things that we want? Yes of course we do. When God punished mankind for sinning, he meant that punishment for all of mankind and not just the rich or the poor.

So you might ask yourself, what is one way to stay committed to God?

Well let me ask you something, How did you graduate college? Or high school? How did you get good at video games? How did you get physically stronger at the gym? It all took commitment right?

Let me give you a few examples of commitment and how I managed to stay with it.

School

I graduated high school, thank God, and I graduated because of a few factors. For one, my parents really wanted me to have my high school diploma, that was a major concern for my parents.

Another reason is that I wanted to graduate with my high school diploma because I thought that it would serve me for my own good.

Another reason is that I could get a better job with a high school diploma than without one.

All of my friends were graduating high school with their high school diplomas so that kind of encouraged me to continue in my high school diploma career, and also I really wanted to go to college.

So in a sense, I was peer pressured into getting my high school diploma. I was pressured by my parents into getting my high school diploma, I was job wise pressured into getting my high school diploma. There were so many reasons as to why I needed my high school diploma, so I got it.

That’s one way to stay committed.

How about another way to stay committed?

My guitar

At the time of me getting my guitar, I was constantly getting bullied. However, that wasn’t the main reason as to why I started playing the guitar.

I started playing the guitar because I just thought that it was cool. I’ve always wanted to learn to play the guitar and so I just picked it up and started teaching myself.

I eventually took lessons but eventually I went and I became the best guitarist in my area.

I could run with the best of them.

But there was something more that drove me to learn how to play the guitar.

My dad always said to me, don’t give up, keep practicing, practice everyday, and you will become better at it.

And so I did.

It wasn’t because I had natural talent at it, but rather, I was just listening to God about practicing.

And so I listened to God and I trusted God with the words of my dad and sure enough, I became a great guitarist.

But all of that took commitment. It took commitment to practice everyday for hours on end. It took internal strength to become the best guitarist that there was.

And honestly, it was because of God

The last thing that I committed to

The last thing that I committed to was this blog.

I didn’t think too much of it, I just started writing in the blog. I was a little disheartened because I kept saying to myself that it’s too late to start a blog. However, I said to myself, “It’s never too late to start something good.”

And so Last year, I mustered up the strength to actually get writing on my blog.

I first prayed to God to give me strength to actually make something out of this blog and sure enough he has given me strength to make this blog something great.

And to be honest with you, all of our commitments need to start with God.

God gives us strength to do good things.

God gives us strength to be a good person.

God gives us the ability to endure until the end so that we can see our dreams come true.

So what am I trying to say with all of this?

The first thing that I’m trying to say is that with all of our commitments, including our relationship with God, we must have God in the mix.

We must be submitting to his word on a daily basis so that he can strengthen our hearts and strengthen our minds to do the impossible.

The second thing that I want to say to stay committed to God is that we need to find something that we’ve stuck with for a long time.

I don’t care who you are, you’ve done something for a long enough time to actually know what commitment looks like.

Once you find that thing, you need to internalize how you did it and just replicate it on God.

The third thing that I want to say is to forgive yourself. When you first start to chase God, it’s going to be a rollercoaster of a ride.

You’re going to pray for a few days and then stop for a few months, and etc. etc.

It’s going to be like that, but don’t give up.

If you find that you have stopped praying for a few months and you want to start back at it again, then start! Don’t give up on God because God will give us strength to chase after him.

Pray to God to help you to develop the relationship that you have with him and he will do so.

Honestly, God has given me wisdom for myself, and it could work for you guys too.

But you’ll never really know for sure how to stay committed to God unless you actually try.

It’s difficult, but oh so well worth it.

Pray to God specifically for your needs because that will ease your mind.

Say for example if I want to stay committed to God, then ask him, “God will you help me to stay committed to you?” God will answer and he will guide you. Remember it’s not in the power of the words, it’s in the power of God
