Hey everyone! So today, I’m going to share with you all the best mentality to have in order to get your music blog running.
Before we get into it, let’s have our moment of silence.
At this time, I would like everyone to take a moment of silence and pray to God to help us to become the person that he wants us to become. Take a minimum of 5 minutes and pray for this.
Now back to the show
The best mentality to have in order to get your Christian music blog running: The preface
So, if you’re like me, you probably had no experience professionally writing when you decided to start a blog.
And that’s completely understandable.
Not everyone is born with amazing writing talent, however, it’s a skill that’s absolutely required in the field of music.
Writing and music kind of go hand in hand in my opinion.
I know that a lot of people might disagree with that, but I have my reasons.
The first reason why I think that writing and music go hand in hand is that you write songs by literally writing poetically.
You have to have writing skills in order to come up with poetry that will evoke strong emotions from people.
The second reason is that you communicate with people by writing to them.
I don’t care if you’re on Facebook, writing letters, or writing a newsletter, you will be writing to communicate with people.
The last reason is that writing can actually land you placements within the music industry.
You will have to write letters in order to get signed to a record label. You might have to write emails or use writing skills in order to help you get through the business side of music.
So with all that being said, we know that it’s important to learn how to write efficiently as a musician.
We also understand that if we write in a blog consistently for long periods of time, then we will gain the readership that we want.
Therefore, we must learn how to write.
I will point you to this blog article written by wordpress.com. Now, wordpress powers 43% of the internet according to their homepage. They are the largest platform to build a website and blog. And this article was written by their blogger who wanted to answer the question, “How to gain more readers and followers?”
This is their post:
https://wordpress.com/support/getting-more-views-and-traffic/
In the post, it states that the best way to build an audience is to write and publish content consistently.
Therefore, we have to write and publish more content consistently.
The best mentality to have in order to get your Christian music blog up and running: the real deal
So the best mentality that you need to have in order to get your Christian music blog up and running is to just perfect the craft of writing.
Nothing more is going to help you to increase your visibility in search rankings.
This alone will get you higher in the search results.
I guess you could say that this is where the grind comes in.
This is the part where you will have to struggle to work hard day in and day out and stay consistent with it for a long period of time.
I know it’s difficult, but nothing good in life is easy.
I personally have two jobs right now and I’m working on getting a third in order to support myself and my music dream, but you know, it will all be worth it.
