Hey everyone! So today, I’m going to share with you all this blog post that I titled Writing for professionalism as a musician. The reason why I started off like this is because I’m going to attempt to cover all of the main points of writing as a musician: Ranging from job help all the way to starting your music career.
Before we get into it, let’s have our moment of silence.
At this time, I would like all of us to take a moment of silence and pray to God to help us to become the person that he wants us to become. Take a minimum of 5 minutes and pray for these things.
Now back to the show
Writing for professionalism as a musician: 101
So I think that writing is essential for anyone. You need to write and communicate with people really effectively to get a good job almost everywhere you go.
Writing and reading can help to educate yourself on different topics that you need to learn.
It’s amazing what writing and reading can do to help you.
However, it’s especially important for musicians.
With writing, you can influence people. Sharing ideas has always been a major aspect of politicians and musicians are no stranger to politics.
Punk musicians write about rebelling, rappers go against the grain, pop artists share the voice of millions of people. And it’s no stranger for a musician to write songs.
And that’s not all.
In today’s society, musicians write in order to gain a following, interact with people, put up blog posts, journal, etc. etc. and it’s amazing all of the written work that goes into making a music career.
Not only that, but the amount of influence that someone can gain by writing is just phenomenal. There is no form that can compare to the writer that will beat influence any day.
We write in blog posts as a modern form of communication and ultimately it’s such a beautiful art that it’s a little difficult to pass up as a musician.
So without further ado, let’s get into the meat and bones of this blog post.
The meat and bones: writing for a job

This is debatable a little bit.
The reason why is because there are some jobs that probably don’t do much of reading and writing, but they still do reading and writing.
Even if you’re in a trade, there are some trades out there that need you to do college work in order to get certified and make more money.
If you are looking to get certified in a field, they will almost always require you to work your hours in English and Math.
It’s absolutely essential for the professional.
But not only that, you don’t necessarily need a degree or certificate in order to get experience working in any field.
I know that project managers make good money and some of them don’t need a college degree, some of them just need a high-school diploma.
Actually it’s a career path to become a project manager by getting your high school diploma and completing a whole bunch of hands on experience being a project manager, it’s an actual thing.
But that’s besides the point, my point being that you don’t need to have a degree or certificate in order to write.
You can start gaining experience writing by blogging.
You can also start gaining experience writing just by overall reading and writing.
My sister is a teacher and she said that the best way that you’ll gain experience reading and writing is to actually read and write.
Reading is just as important to writing as writing itself.
It’s important to be literate in order to get into the writing business.
Therefore, we must read in order to become better writers.
So never forget the basics that they taught you in school!
