Hey everyone! So today, I’m going to talk about blogging for teenage Christian musicians.
Before we get started, let’s have our moment of silence.
At this time, I would like all of us to take a moment of silence and pray to God to help us to pray more often and with better prayers. I am sure that without a doubt that you all make great prayers, however, there is always room for improvement. Take a minimum of 5 minutes and pray for this.
Now back to the show
Blogging for Teenage Christian musicians.
I’ve been there before! I get it! With everything that I am I understand your pain as a teenage Christian musician.
You want to perform for God, you want to write songs for God, you want to share your message to the whole world, I completely UNDERSTAND YOUR PAIN!
However, there are a few steps that we should take before we can actually embark on this journey of blogging.
We also need to talk about some realities .
Let’s start
Reality #1 It’s going to take time
I preach this on my blog that blogs are not an overnight success type of thing.
It actually takes a lot of work and patience to actually make a blog a success. So don’t be dismayed when you find out that you still have to work at your job or maybe keep going to school to get your degrees.
Reality #2 It’s going to take effort
No one in the history of mankind worth their two cents in blogging has ever said that blogging is easy.
No, it actually takes a significant amount of effort.
It takes effort to write in your blog every single day for years on end in the hopes that your blog is going to take off one day.
It takes a lot of effort to drag yourself to the computer day in and out even on those cold winter days.
It takes effort to be patient with yourself and fight to write, it all takes effort.
Reality #3 It will probably be the first time that you’ve ever had to work.
When you first start working, there are a lot of skills that you need to learn.
When I say skills that you need to learn in work, I mean that for any job. And there are universal things that go good with any job that you work in.
Like consistent, hard work, mixed with helpfulness is always a plus on the job.
But there are other things too: Interpersonal relationships, Intrapersonal relationships, networking, problem solving, persistence, etc. etc. all play a role in your job.
And believe it or not, some of those things come with blogging, actually a lot of those things come with blogging.
With blogging, you’re going to have to develop relationships, problem solve, show persistence, and show that you can work hard.
What are some reasons why teenage musicians should blog?

There are actually quite a few reasons as to why teenage musicians should blog.
The first, and to me the most important reason, is that it helps to develop your school work overall.
There are a lot of people out there that would benefit from blogging each day.
Students are one of those people.
Even though there are differences between making a blog and making an essay, there are still similarities.
Grammar and punctuation are developed through blogging, which will in turn translate to your essay writing abilities.
Also there are similar approaches to researching as well.
We all know that we are supposed to find and validate sources on the internet.
And you will pick up that skill while blogging.
Another reason why blogging will help you is because when you go to college, there will be administrators and deans who will want to see all of your extracurricular activities.
If you are a big time blogger and you are making a decent income off of your blog, then of course you have more pull through with administrators and deans so that they’ll accept you.
The second reason is that it will promote your music.
When you blog for your music, you will find that you are gaining more and more fans over time.
Even though it does take a long time to actually see results from blogging, that’s no reason to give up.
Blogging is a long game, but completely worth it.
And when you blog for enough time, you will find that you are completely able to make a fanbase with your music.
I could actually feel safe enough to say that if you blog everyday from the start of your freshmen year of high school, then by college, it’s very likely that you’ll have a large following with large numbers of traffic.
That’s what I personally think, however, it doesn’t necessarily mean it’s true.
The last reason is that it will help your songwriting skills.
Writing makes you more affluent with the English language.
And obviously it’s important to have that skill in your toolbox because you will use that language and manner of speaking in your songs.
It will make you more poetic, even if you are writing very analytically.
So how can you get started blogging?

It’s simple elementary my dear Watson, just start writing.
If it was me and I was starting this all over again, I would start the same way when I first started blogging.
I would make my website, pick a simple theme, nothing revolutionary, put up a profile picture, use wordpress.com to make a free site, and then just start writing.
I wouldn’t do anything more or anything less.
Sometimes we get caught up in making our website “perfect.”
And we forget that the main point of making this blog isn’t to make the algorithm work for us in the short term, but rather, the long term.
We make this blog so that we can work hard at it and eventually reap some rewards.
So, the main part of working on a blog is writing the content.
If you can focus on writing the content, you will go far.
