Hey everyone! Today, I’m going to share with you all why I’m so biased towards blogging.

Before we get started, let’s have our moment of silence.

At this time, I would like all of us to take a moment of silence and pray to God to help us to become the person that he wants us to become. Take a minimum of 5 minutes and pray to God to help us to do the things that we need to do.

Now back to the show

Why blogging is the best promotion tool for a Christian musician!

So like what can you not do with blogging?

I feel like there are a lot of misconceptions regarding a blog. There’s a lot of misconceptions regarding how effective it is or how to actually make a great blog.

But really, it boils down to a few good principles, patience and work ethic.

Let’s talk about all of the reasons.

It’s something Godly

So blogging is not a get rich quick scheme.

That’s one reason why I believe that blogging is so good.

Blogging takes time and effort and hours of dedication to make something good.

It follows all of the bible principles about money.

The two main bible principles that relate to money about blogging are if you work hard, you’ll get money and if you be patient, you’ll get money.

Those are the top two Principles that relate to money.

Of course it’s incomplete if you don’t have God with you, so always remember to pray to God to help you to do the things that you need to do.

But anyways, I know it’s something Godly because of the principles that it follows.

The second thing is that you can build a following through a blog!

Musicians are always looking to build a following through their music. However, hardly any of them actually take the proper steps to start building it. I mean, it’s one thing to put out a song on soundcloud and wait for people to start getting there.

However, it’s something completely different to start working for the things that you want to achieve.

When you start a blog, you are starting a good thing. You are starting something that is going to build and will take off when the time is right. God will be the one to determine when the time is right for you.

Don’t give up just because you have a slow start. Keep fighting for that dream of yours and you will go far.

Keep in mind that it takes some serious time to develop a following. I would say be prepared to wait a few years because it takes that much time to develop a following.

I know what you’re thinking, “German, I’ve seen on the internet that it could take anywhere between 6 months to a year to get some serious numbers? Are you telling the truth?”

Well let me ask you something, Do you remember back when you were in Elementary School and the librarian told you that a good way to check your sources is to see where they are from?

And if they say something like .org or .net, then it would be a reliable source?

Have you ever checked those sources and seen what they say? I mean try finding it on google, I’m pretty sure you’ll be shocked.

Here’s one for example

https://ghost.org/resources/build-a-successful-blog/

He says to be prepared to wait between 2 – 4 years.

Also, it takes some serious effort to start a money making blog.

I’ve personally been working on this blog for two years and I haven’t made more than 200  views in a single month.

However, I’m not giving up.

And the following that I’ll have is going to be so great!

The third thing is that it can provide a source of income

The source of income that a blog can provide is a blessing to the starving artist.

And you can have it, it just takes a lot of work.

Remember something, God’s word reigns supreme above all. So, don’t worry about the lack of work that you’ve done in the past. Concentrate all of your efforts on the future of yourself and your blog. All of that effort will pay off eventually.

I know that believing all of this may seem a little bit scary. However, I highly encourage you to do your own research.

Research away and see for yourself if blogging is a good thing or not.

I’m pretty sure someone out there doesn’t think that blogging is a good thing. However, I have been blogging for so long that I just don’t think that way anymore.

And of course, with God at my side, nothing’s impossible.
