Hey everyone! So today, I’m going to share with you all why planning is essential and NOT essential to a music marketing plan.

Before we get started, let’s have our moment of silence.

At this time, I would like all of us to take a moment of silence and pray to God to help us to become the person that he wants us to become. Ask God to guide us throughout all of our difficulties and to give us wisdom and strength to get through all of the things that we need to get through. Take a minimum of 5 minutes and pray for this.

Now back to the show

Music marketing plan, is it essential or not essential?

So, I remember I once heard that if you fail to plan then you plan to fail. That actually came from a marine General’s list of advice for the battlefield.

Now I know that we aren’t fighting a war with guns and bullets here, we’re making music! Haha!

However, I think that this is true to a certain degree. You need to have a plan as to how you’re going to do the things that you need to do.

I remember back when I first started this blog, I didn’t really have a plan except for to make some money on the side so that I can do other things. I wanted some extra money so I could pay my way through college, get clothes, a car, and publish my music.

Those were some of my motivating factors to me making a blog.

Now I know that you’re saying, “But German, what about your mission to serve God?” Well of course!

I do want to serve God, and ultimately that’s my why as to why I keep writing in this blog. If it was for the money, I know for myself that I would’ve quit a long time ago.

Anyways, I had a plan to make a successful blog for all of those reasons and to this day, I still believe that this blog can and will go places.

And to a degree, I did have a plan. My plan was to just start working on this blog and develop my skills along the way. I was going to periodically increase the amount of work that I put in, I was going to periodically learn new skills, I was going to do my own homework on how to develop this blog into a great blog. That was my plan.

And along the way, this plan that I have evolves and changes to meet the demands of my blog.

So that’s the reason why I say that a plan is not so essential. Because plans can change and plans don’t account for the “enemy” haha that’s from the General’s writings!

Therefore, you have to account for the fact that there will be changes and dynamics that are going to be different in your life.

But no matter what!

But no matter what happens, you need to pray to God about your plans or your not plans. The reason is because there are so many outliers out there that can stop you from living your dreams that it really would be pointless to do anything without consulting with the one creator about it first.

Our God, so powerful and true to our lives, holds the keys to life and death and he is the one that makes things possible.

So, never forget to include God in your plans because he loves you more than you know and he has amazing plans for you.
