Hey everyone! So today, I’m going to share with you all Christian musician necessities.

Before we get started, let’s have our moment of silence.

At this time, I would like all of us to take a moment of silence and pray to God to help us to become the person that we were supposed to become. Ask God to guide us throughout all of our lives. Pray so that he can always provide for us. Take a minimum of 5 minutes and pray for this.

Now back to the show

Christian musician necessities

Hey everyone! So today, I’m going to go over some of the necessities that a Christian musician needs in this day and age.

I will be going over some things that a Christian needs so that he can record, write, and promote your own songs using technology and old school methods.

Keep in mind that we always need God first to do anything. So, with all of these tips in mind, always pray to God first and ask him to guide you towards the right path. God gives us these talents for a reason and we ought to use them for his reasons.

Without further ado, let’s go into it.

Pen, notebook, or some way to record your thoughts down

It’s without a doubt that we songwriters are called songWRITERS. We were meant to write our thoughts down on paper and pen.

And we do so by writing about the holiness of God. We write about God, we give purpose to music.

Well ultimately God gives purpose to music.

But this purpose that we have as musicians are great! We are supposed to show the world that God is great through lyrics, songs, and the power of music.

That is our ultimate goal as a musician.

So, it goes without say, that we need to be constantly writing down things so that we make better words and shape better sentences.

Us as writers have this great mission to write Godly things at all times. Isn’t that great?

So, always keep a pen and paper on handy.

Bonus tip: If you have a smart phone and have the ability to write down a message to yourself using a digital notepad, go ahead and use it, I certainly use my phone all the time to do so. I also use my phone to audibly record music and song ideas that I have in my head.

Know how

Now, you could have all of the tools in the world to make great music, however, if you don’t know how to use any of it, it’s pointless.

A million dollar studio would be worth nothing to you if you couldn’t use it.

Therefore, it’s important to educate yourself in as many topics in music as possible so that when the time comes to actually use this technology, you are already aware of how to use it.

So, pick up guitar, piano, bass, learn to sing, write poetry, write lyrics, produce music, mix music, etc. etc. and you will turn out to be a fine musician from the start.

Keep in mind that all of this will take time to perfect, so don’t get discouraged just because you aren’t that good at guitar for a few years.

A blog or YouTube channel

These two methods are probably the easiest methods to form a following with.

And they’re fun too!

Making videos is a blast and a half, and writing about things that you are passionate about is great too! Always remember that it will all take time to actually build, so don’t get discouraged by a slow start.

And when I say time to build, I’m talking about years, maybe two or four years minimum.

I’ve heard of people who took 7 years to get good amounts of traffic to their blog.

I know, I know, you want it now, but patience grasshopper, Rome wasn’t built in a day, neither was the great wall of China.

I sure hope that I have been an inspiration and a hope to you all. Please remember to pray, read your bible, go to church, and love God above all else. Like, comment, share, subscribe, and I will see you all next time.
