Hey everyone! So today, I’m going to share with you all some indie music secrets that you will want to know. 

Before we get started, let’s have our moment of silence. 

At this time, I would like all of us to take a moment of silence and pray to God to help us to work hard in our music. Ask God to guide us throughout our music journey and to bless our hands with work. Take a minimum of 5 minutes and pray for this.

So today I’m going to give you guys some “verbs” that you’ll need to do to have a successful music career.

Now I know that praying to God counts as a “Verb” but when I say verb, I mean things that you need to do in order to have a successful music career. 

Praying to God is one thing and obviously you need to do that in order to have a successful music career. 

But God also requires action from you in order to start your music career. 

So those actions are what I’m going to talk about today. 

So without further ado, let’s go over what I’m talking about. 

The talent

So, the first thing that you would need is the talent to become a professional musician. 

First, gain the talent that you need in order to actually sing, play the guitar, and write music for a living.

If you already have this talent, then you are already one big step ahead of the game. 

If you do not have this talent, then it is safe to say that you need to spend some time practicing a whole bunch of hours in order to actually do what you want to do. 

The certifications

Honestly guys, I would be lying if I said that my music career was going anywhere without the certifications that I was blessed with.

I first got a certification in social media management, and through that I was able to gain the knowledge that I needed in order to market online. 

The main thing is that content is king. 

The more content you put out, the more of a following you’ll develop. 

And since you’re already a songwriter, you now need to harness all of that creativity into work so that you can come up with blog topics and videos for your channels. 

And honestly, I would almost BEG for you to get your high school degrees. I would strictly tell you to get your college degrees because all of that knowledge truly does help in the real world.

Also, a lot of certification programs ask that you have a high school diploma so that they can base their knowledge that they give you off of something. 

Therefore, you should always look to get your certifications and degrees so that you can always look for a brighter future. 

The work ethic

You need the work ethic in order to gain all of these good things. 

I would be lying if I said that music is an easy process. 

Music is not easy. Music is hard work and dedication and time and patience. 

However, it becomes fun and it becomes enjoyable once you are good at your job. 

So work hard at the basics, work hard at all of the things that you are given, and in time, and I mean a long time, you will turn out to be the musician that you want to become.
