Hey everyone! So today, I’m going to share with you all what is love and what is not love.

Before we get started, let’s have our moment of silence.

At this time, I would like all of us to take a moment of silence and pray to God to help us to love the way that he wants us to love. Take a minimum of 5 minutes and pray to God to put love in us.

Now back to the show

  1. Love begins with God
    1. What does the bible say about loving God? Jesus was actually the one who described it in the New Testament. He states in Mark 12:30-31, “and thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength: This is the first commandment. And the second is like namely this, thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself, there is none other commandment greater than these.”
    2. So the first order is to love God above all else. In the Ten commandments, which can be found in Exodus 20:2-17, God specifically states that we are to have NO other God above him. That means that we cannot put other things, including people, above God. I know that sounds kind of bad, but that literally means that we cannot put children or wives or lands or businesses above God because that is sin.
    3. Jesus actually speaks of this act of love as a sort of “hate” towards your loved ones. And of course, Jesus does not mean that you are to hate your loved ones, but he says that in comparison to loving God, it’s like showing that you hate your loved ones because that’s how much we’re supposed to love God, it’s supposed to be so much love that it looks like there is no room for anyone else in our lives. Luke 14:26-33 says so and actually has Jesus speaking about this.
  2. Love is not lustful nor does it hate. I just mentioned to you that God gives perfect gifts to us. James 1:17 states so, and it also states that every perfect gift from God has no “shadowturning” This means that the gifts from God are blameless. They are truly perfect. They have no sorrow in it. That’s what James says. Therefore, since God is good and God tells us not to be lustful (1 Corinthians 6:18-20) and obviously God tells us to love one another in Leviticus 19:18, we can safely assume that God does not hate nor is it lustful because those things aren’t perfect.
  3. If you love God, your love for other people will be perfect. Now this is my personal experience in life just being a person. I notice that if you are truly dedicated to God in your life, you will find that the things that seemed cool to you in the past, weren’t Godly, cool, or even fun. So, you will actually see if you seek God of what truly is love. And you will apply that love to other people and relationships if you just submit yourself to God. But there is a bible verse that talk about this. Matthew 6:33 says, “But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness, and all these things shall be added unto you.” Jesus was speaking in this verse and he was basically saying to not worry about life or any of it’s worries because if you seek God first, then everything will fall in place.

What is not love?

Love is not lustful.

Love is something Godly. So, since we know that God is love and that love comes from God, we can KNOW that love is something perfect and that God is the one who approves of this love.

Let’s go to 1 Corinthians 6:9-11.

Now before we go into this, I want you to know who wrote this.

The person who wrote this was Paul.

And paul PERSECUTED the early Christians. However, one day Paul was on his way to persecute more Christians and a LIGHT brighter than the sun appeared to him and blinded him. And it was Jesus who was addressing paul. And so, Paul was blind for three days and then he was healed. And afterwards Paul began preaching the gospel to different churches all over the old world. And the reason why he preached was because God wanted him to go and preach the news to the world.

And he states in 1 Corinthians 6:9-11, “Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived, neither fornicators, nor idolators, nor adulterers, nor effeminate (Which means men that are gay), nor abusers of themselves with mankind, nor thieves, nor covetous, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God. and such were some of you, but ye are washed, but ye are sanctified, but ye are justified in the name of the Lord Jesus, and by the spirit of our God.”

This literally means that love does not mean homosexuality. Because love is going to enter into the kingdom of God, but homosexuality is not.

Therefore, we can safely KNOW that homosexuality is not godly nor is it love.

HOWEVER, I want to be clear here that I don’t want to cause hatred amongst homosexuals and Christianity.

It’s never our desire as a Christian to want to hurt someone just because they don’t believe in our beliefs. If that was the case, every Christian at some point would have gotten hurt from another Christian.

And it’s also God’s will that EVERYONE goes to heaven, that includes homosexuals.

And even those verses that I just said in 1 Corinthians says it. That some of those CHRISTIANS were homosexuals but now they are washed by Jesus.

So, even though homosexuality is not good, a homosexual can still enter into heaven if they want God in their lives.
