Hey everyone! So today, I’m going to share with you all some important bible verses about present day music careers.

Before we get into it, let’s have our moment of silence.

At this time, I would like all of us to take a moment of silence and pray to God to help us in the careers that we want to do. Ask God to guide us throughout all of our difficulties. Take a minimum of 5 minutes and pray for this.

Now back to the show

Important bible verses about music careers.

So, the first few verses that I would like to share with you all is actually in Matthew 6 from verses 24-34

Jesus was the one who spoke these words and it states,

“No Man can serve two masters, for either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will hold to the one and despise the other; ye cannot serve God and mammon. Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat or what ye shall drink, nor yet for your body. What ye shall put on. Is not the life more than meat, and the body than raiment? Behold the fowls of the air, they sow not neither do they reap, yet your heavenly father feedeth them. Are ye not much better than they? Which of you by taking thought can add one cubit unto his stature? And why take ye thought for raiment? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow, they toil not, neither do they spin: and yet I say unto you, that even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these. Wherefore, If God so clothe the grass of the field, which today is and morrow is cast into the oven, shall he not much more clothe you, oh ye of little faith? Therefore take no thought, saying, what shall we eat or What shall we drink? Or wherewithal shall we be clothed? (For after all these things the gentiles seek:) For your heavenly father knoweth that ye have need of all these things. But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness, and all these things shall be added unto you. Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thoughts for the things itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof.” -Matthew 6:24-34

In these verses, Jesus is specifically talking about careers and jobs and the worries of this life that are completely valid.

He’s not talking about getting luxury items, he’s talking about getting food, clothes, and a house to live in.

He’s saying to not worry about those things because tomorrow the day is unpredictable

And then he says something and he says, “Seek ye first the kingdom of God, and all of these things shall be added unto you.”

What he’s saying is that seek first the kingdom of God, and you will be clothed, and you will have food, and you will have houses, and things of that nature.

And he also states, “For  your heavenly father knoweth ye have need of all these things. “

And then he states if we have seen the birds and how they don’t work, and yet, our heavenly father feedeth them, how much more will he feed us? Oh ye of little faith?”

It’s amazing!

This actually speaks to me a lot because I am a musician and I’m not superfamous or anything, but I am going through the humbling phase right now trying to serve the Lord and be a musician at the same time.

And the Lord just brings words of wisdom to my heart and mind that comfort me.

He’s saying to not worry about the food or the clothes or anything that this life has because he knows that I need them.

It speaks deeply to me.

I think that this passage in the bible is extremely important to the musician because often times we as musicians will go through a moment of time where we will experience financial hardships. However, our Lord asks us to trust in HIM to the fact that he will provide for us.

And it doesn’t matter what we’re doing, the Lord knows what we’re doing.

The Lord is actually the one who calls people to become musicians! The Lord is the one who calls us, that’s right, if you’re a musician, then God has called you to become that musician!

And he wants to use you for his purposes. The Lord wants you to use your talents for his purposes.

That’s the ultimate purpose of music, to worship and adore God with sound.

And God is saying that he knows that right now you are in financial hardships, but trust in him that he will provide for all of your necessities, that’s what is God is saying in these verses.

So, don’t worry about the worries of this life, because God is going to provide for you, just trust in him.
