Hey guys! Today we will talk about How God provides.
Before we get started, let’s have our moment of silence.
At this time, I would like all of us to take a moment of silence and pray to God to help us to follow him. No matter what, let our hearts always follow God. Take a minimum of 5 minutes and pray for this.
Now back to the show
Bible Study: How does God provide?
You know it’s funny. All my life, I thought to myself that I had to work hard to get the things that I want.
And it’s true! You do need to work hard to get the things that you want and need.
However, God mentions something specific in the bible about the things that you need.
I know that Jesus is God, but specifically Jesus is the one who said it.
He states in Matthew 6:25-34 it states, “Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink; nor yet for your body, what ye shall put on. Is not the life more than meat, and the body than raiment? Behold the fowls of the air: for they sow not, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feedeth them. Are ye not much better than they? Which of you by taking thought can add one cubit unto his stature? And why take ye thought for raiment? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow; they toil not, neither do they spin: And yet I say unto you, That even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these. Wherefore, if God so clothe the grass of the field, which to day is, and to morrow is cast into the oven, shall he not much more clothe you, O ye of little faith? Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed? (For after all these things do the Gentiles seek:) for your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things. But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you. Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof.”
This verse really spoke out to me because it was speaking directly to the Christian musician.
The verses are talking about God providing for us.
And I KNOW that Jesus knew that there would be Christian musicians with talent but with the struggle of every other musician.
So, he said these words with those Christian musicians in mind. He said those words knowing that there would be people out there who would desire to follow him everywhere he goes and they would want to use their talents for the Lord.
And he knew that financial hardships was going to be a problem for Christians.
So wow, am I encouraged to write Christian music.
Why? Because God will be the one to provide a house, clothes, money, and everything else that I need.
And it’s so encouraging knowing that God will not fail you.
It’s so assuring knowing that the one who made those promises is the one who has never failed.
Let’s look at another verse
Psalm 34:10 states, “ The young lions do lack, and suffer hunger: but they that seek the LORD shall not want any good thing.”
So, it’s saying that those that seek the Lord shall not want any good thing.
That means that you won’t lack any good thing.
So, overall the bible doesn’t say how God will provide. It just states that God will provide.
And it’s true! God does provide.
Trust in him and his word above all else.
