Hey everyone! So today, I’m going to share with you all some insight on patience.
Before we get started, let’s have our moment of silence.
At this time, I would like all of us to take a moment of silence and pray to God to help us to become the person that he wants us to become. Take a minimum of 5 minutes and pray to God to give us strength to do the right things in life.
Now back to the show
Bible Study: Patience

So these past few days, my sister and I have been arguing.
About different topics, but I’m glad of the way that I handled them.
I didn’t get myself worked up over anything and I thank God for that to be honest with you.
And each day, my sister and I reconcile with each other and get through life as a family.
So what happened was that I actually have been going through some mental health guidance with my job and they recommended that talking to someone is a good manner of coping and dealing with rough emotions.
So what happened was that these past few days, I’ve been talking with my dad about all of the things that were happening.
And my dad just brought comforting words to me.
And I know that I’m supposed to listen to my parents and my dad just brought so much comfort to me and it was such a blessing.
And then something dawned on me.
I am actually very patient with my coworkers and friends but I’m not patient with my family.
And while my dad was talking, he was saying things like, “just because your sister is angry, annoyed, or sarcastic, doesn’t mean that she’s any of those things with you.”
And what happened was that I know that is true about other people, but for some reason I hate to believe that, that’s true with my family. So, I’m always trying to find ways to make it up with my family even though I didn’t do anything wrong.
And so, today I thought my sister was being sarcastic with me for whatever reason she was mad at me.
And my dad told me that it’s probably nothing and that just because someone is sarcastic with you, doesn’t mean that they are mad at you.
And so, the revelation that I had was that my sister is JUST LIKE EVERYONE ELSE.
Where my sister needs the same type of patience as with everyone else.
That my sister requires the same type of kindness with everyone else.
That my sister requires attention and separation just like everyone else.
And I can’t go off and try and make up with her when I haven’t done anything wrong.
So what happened was that I just had a day to myself while my sister was off being mad. And I didn’t think about it at all.
However, I had the strength to do the things that I needed to do because God gave me the wisdom and strength to do the things that I needed to do.
God gave me wisdom and strength to ignore my sister and just have a fun day to myself.
Romans 5:3 states, “ And not only so, but we glory in tribulations also: knowing that tribulation worketh patience;”
Romans states something very serious, it’s saying that we glory in tribulations and tribulations worketh patience.
It’s strange because it’s almost as if though we as Christians should look FORWARD to tribulations because that is when we will shine the most.
It states right there, “… but we glory in tribulations also: knowing that tribulation worketh patience.”
It’s almost as if we are told that we will shine during tribulations.
Isn’t that funny?
And I’ve been going through some tribulations lately with my sister and it just seems like I am getting through it with the right attitude.
I know it is tough going through tribulations, but God doesn’t give us anything that we can’t handle.
Always remember to put your faith in God and God will get you through whatever it is that you need to get through.
