How the Lord speaks to me even now (No he doesn’t audibly or visually speak to me)

Hey guys, BEFORE we go into any more of this subject, I just want to say that God does NOT audibly speak to me. But I will be glad to share with you all how he manages to speak to me. 

Now, let’s have our moment of silence. 

At this time, I would like all of us to take a moment of silence and pray to God to make us obedient listeners of his word. Ask God to help us to believe in his word. Take a minimum of 5 minutes and pray for this.

How the Lord speaks to me even now

So again I want to remind you all that God is NOT audibly or visually speaking to me. Rather, the spirit is guiding me to do the things that I need to do every single day. 

I have already come to grips that this blog is ultimately a big part of God’s plan. 

But I just came to grips that songwriting is a plan that God has for me. 

I just realized that God gave me music, yes it was God who gave me music and I’ll tell you why. 

Because I want to use it for his purposes. 

I’ll be honest, at one point, I really wanted to use music for my own vain glory and gain. However, deep down inside, I always wanted to use this talent for the Lord. 

And I prayed so that God would help me to use this talent for him.

And when I picked up my guitar, I prayed a lot when I first started practicing so that the Lord would bless me in my work as a guitarist and musician. 

And God placed it in my heart and convicted my heart to use this talent for him. 

And I DO want to use this talent for him. 

So, I’ve come to the realization that God does want me to be a musician, it’s just a matter of working hard towards my dreams. 

And God is telling me that I can’t worry about the money or the status because that’s not what being a Christian musician is about. 

What it’s about is making a joyful noise unto the Lord and worshiping and praising him in song. 

God created this path for me and it was because God destined this path for me. 

Praise the Lord for he has given me something amazing, PERFECT. The Lord has given me something PERFECT. 

And now, the Lord is helping me with my blog.

I don’t want to share with you all how the Lord is helping me with my blog, but just know that the Lord is doing big things with my blog.

Pray, for a praying man is a strong man. It wasn’t until I started praying to God that God really started to talk to me. 

But when you pray, there are so many things that you can pray about. You could pray about salvation for your friends and families, you can pray about your job, your school, your attitude so that God may give you a holy attitude, you can pray so that YOU can become holy and righteous, you can pray so that God protects you, you can pray so that you may make HOLY prayers, you can pray so that you may maintain strong in the faith, you can pray so that you can work hard every day, so you can work hard at your relationship with the Lord, so you can have faith in the Lord. There are a million things you  can pray for.

So try and pray and make up your own prayers, ask God to give you HOLY prayers. Ask God to make you an excellent prayer.

    That can be a tricky subject, right? Especially when we’re speaking to (and as) conservative Christians. I grew up in a preacher’s family in the Church of Christ. I was baptised in my early teens in the church I grew up in.

    But God didn’t decide to start slapping me upside the head until 2012. I was close to 50 at the time. As someone who rarely even remembers my dreams, and then only for a few minutes after waking, I’m suddenly getting visions with crystal clear clarity. Not “oh, what might that mean” symbolism type visions, no. More like I was actually THERE in the spirit, or maybe even bodily. The crucifixion. The entire planet being destroyed by fire (2 Peter 3). The battle of Armageddon (Revelation 12). The new Heaven and new Earth John describes later in that book. Been there. Remember it as clearly ten years later as the time God took me there.

    But I’m not even writing to impress anyone with those things. The point is this… God has shown me things iN HIS WORD that are more incredible than any of the above. And those were knock-me-out-of-bed-at-3AM kinds of events. The best way to hear from God is to eagerly seek Him in the way He’s already provided. But the trick is to SEEK Him, not read it like it’s some novel. Dive deep. Be in prayer, because it’s a two-way conversation with the Author. Have a notebook ready and EXCPECT something.

    Okay I’m rambling, sorry. The point I guess is this… if all people are doing is listening to sermons and reading blogs (mine included) then they’re still getting milk from the bottle. If they ever expect to be weaned and get on solid food, there’s just no substitute for getting into Scripture.
