Lord, Make me an excellent Christian

Hey guys! Today, I’m going to share with you all something that I thought was excellent.

Before we get started, let’s have our moment of silence. 

At this time, I would like all of us to take a moment of silence and pray to God to help us to become excellent Christians. Take a minimum of 5 minutes and pray for this. 

Now back to the show

Lord, make me an excellent Christian. 

I was in church a long time ago and my pastor was preaching something. 

He said, “what does it mean to be excellent at something?”

And I didn’t really know what to say, it means that you are awesome at it right? 

And then he went on with the sermon and the final message was that God wants us to be excellent Christians first and foremost. Because being excellent at something means that you are the best at that thing. 

And so, I was like, this needs prayers.

So,  years went on by, and I was convicted to pray to God to help make me an excellent Christian. I asked God if he could make me the best Christian that there is. 

Now of course, just because you’re Christian, doesn’t mean that you won’t fall, but I asked the Lord to make me this because, I know what it’s like to be excellent at something, I truly do. 

But I never knew what it was like to be an excellent Christian. 

And I said to myself, the Lord has made me an excellent musician, but the number one thing that the Lord wants me to do is to be an excellent Christian. 

And I was convicted because I had made music and guitar more important than God so much so that I had put music above God.

And I realized that music is the Lord’s and the Lord had seen that I had put music above him. 

Anyways, now I want to put God above everything else in my life. 

And It was because of that sermon, that we are supposed to be excellent Christians first and foremost. 

Loving God above all else.
