Hey guys! So today, I’m going to give you all some tips for leveraging the internet for a Fanbase.
Before we get started, let’s have our moment of silence.
At this time, I would like all of us to take a moment of silence and pray to God to help us to follow him. Ask God to help us to work hard at our dreams and to always thank him. Take a minimum of 5 minutes and pray for this.
Now back to the show
Some tips
So I understand your pain, I understand what you feel. There are awesome days, there are bad days, there are days where we feel like quitting, there are days where we feel like there is no hope and there are days where everything seems just right.
I want to say that being in a career, whatever career that is, is exactly that, being in a career.
I’ll put it like this, if you’ve ever stayed working with a company for a long period of time, did you have good days? Did you have bad days? How about days in between all that?
The answer is yes we all had those days!
So starting out a music career is just like any other career, we are going to have amazing days, bad days, and in between days.
I’ll be honest, I’ve been having awesome days lately.
Which is actually a reason why I haven’t blogged in like three days.
Most of you know that I blog pretty consistently everyday.
Well I’m not going to say just that, I will also say that if God didn’t want me to post up these past few days, then I wouldn’t post up.
So really the future is in God’s hands.
I’ve always said that.
But anyways back to the topic at hand.
Here are some tips on how to leverage the internet to your advantage.
Don’t get stressed about the money at first

I want to say that this is not a get rich quick scheme.
And if you’re looking for immediate money, I would say look for a different job first because to be honest that’s how the music gig is.
You work your 9-5 throughout the week, and then at night or the weekends, you work on your music career.
That’s really how the life of a musician is.
I know it’s difficult, but that’s actually not that bad.
You might be thinking to yourself, “but German, then there’s no time for socialization or community time.”
I would agree, and actually yes this is kind of true that musicians are actually the performers WORKING at the party not the life of the party.
But I will ask this, and I know that I’m talking to a group of good Christians, but what would you do if it wasn’t to work on your music career?
I’m not saying that you were going to go to a club, which is what a lot of people do.
I’m not saying that you’re going to go and drink at a bar, but what I’m trying to get at is that more often than not, hanging around with friends might not be the best idea.
Don’t get me wrong, it’s awesome to have dinner every once in a while, but just hanging around with friends all the time really doesn’t look too well.
I actually didn’t understand that until later on in life.
And I’m not saying that it’s bad to hangout with friends when you’re young, but when you get older, you realize that you have responsibilities now.
Like I have some friends who take college classes while working in a trade in order to advance in their careers, that’s something admirable.
I have friends who work part time and go to college on the weekends, that’s something good, that’s not bad.
And when we get older, we want something deeper than a career and money too.
We eventually want a spouse, children, a life of our own and none of those are bad. But this is where I say that hanging around with friends all the time isn’t probably the best idea.
What happens is that all of those things that I just mentioned, takes time and dedication to develop.
You have to be with your children so they can grow up.
You have to develop the relationship with your spouse
You have to invest time into your career to advance,
And really, when you grow up, you start to put priorities in place and realize that friends really can’t fit in your life as much as possible.
Which brings me back to the first point. What would you do if it wasn’t hanging around with friends or working on your music career? Would you watch T.V.? Is that really the best way to use your time?
Now I’m not saying to NOT enjoy life because life is beautiful and is a blessing to enjoy your money.
But we need to do it responsibly.
So why do I say all this?
I personally feel like getting your career right first before you go out and try and find a wife is more important because a wife, children, houses, and cars all need resources that a man is going to have to provide.
And if we are constantly hanging out with friends or spending time doing nonessential things, how are we supposed to develop the good things in life?
Which is why I say to work on your music career, friends are good and all, but they won’t be there forever.
And more often than not, they won’t be there at all.
***I want to add a side note here, THERE ARE GOOD FRIENDS, the bible says it. A brother is born for the day of adversity, that’s what the bible says. Which actually brings me to why I haven’t blogged in three days. I haven’t blogged because my friend is doing something really good for me and it is SUCH a blessing. I don’t know why my friend has thought about me when he did this, but honestly, I thank God for putting my friend with me. I don’t know if he’s Christian, but he thought about me for something and honestly, it was for the day of adversity. Thank God!
So there are good friends, God places them. And God gives them. I’m just trying to say that good friends are hard to find.
