Hey guys! Today, I’m going to share with you all a message about giving.
Before we get started, let’s have our moment of silence.
At this time, I would like all of us to take a moment of silence and ask God to give us a giving spirit. Ask God to help us to have the right attitude towards giving. Take a minimum of 5 minutes and pray for this.
Now back to the show
So I’m not a stranger to giving, however, I am a stranger to having it as a routine.
Let’s backtrack to a few months ago.
I was walking on the street one day, and I’ll be honest I gave to the homeless every so often, but it was in spirit that was not holy.
I gave, and they were good things that I gave, but it wasn’t in the good spirit that the Lord wanted me to have.
And so one day, I had just gotten paid, and it was cold outside, and I saw a man just standing there on the corner and he had a sign asking for money.
And I couldn’t help but to feel so overwhelmed but to just give him something of what I had.
And I don’t know or understand what sort of conviction was laid in my heart, but the Lord was the one who pushed me to go to this man and say, “Hey, do you want something to eat?”
And the man said, “Sure anything.”
And I said, “Let me give you some burgers and fries.”
And he said, “thank you.”
So I went to the local McDonalds and I got him a meal, took it back to him, and I gave it to him.
And he just sounded like he was about to cry and he said, “God bless you man.”
And I don’t know what it was, whether it was his voice or his attitude, but I experienced a feeling that was greater than playing the guitar in front of a thousand people.

And this feeling OVERWHELMED ME, and I literally took a bus down to the big part of my town and I just started looking for homeless people. I was just buying everyone food and supplies, and I’m not rich! Haha! I almost used up my entire paycheck by buying these homeless people this food.
And then at the end of the day, I just said to myself, this feeling that the Lord has given me is too much to bare. I have to do it again.
And the Lord right now is just reminding me of how that feeling is, it’s strong, it’s overwhelming, it’s powerful, and would you believe that the next two weeks, I did not need that money to get by on my regular routine.
I’m practically tearing up with the feeling that I have with doing these actions in the right spirit.
And so, right now I don’t go out and give homeless people food or supplies anymore because I was met with some hostility from the homeless people. It’s a long story.
But I do give still, I give to a local food drive and I have been doing it faithfully for about two months now.
The Lord is providing.
And all I keep hearing is, “You know that you will receive many blessings because of what you’re doing?”
And I know that I am going to receive these blessings, the Lord will provide for me.
