Hey everyone! So right now, I’m going to share with you all a study in the book of Romans that I was doing just recently.
Before we get into it, let’s have our moment of silence.
At this time, I would like all of us to take a moment of silence and pray to God to guide us more towards him each day. Ask God to reveal to us what is his will for our lives through the reading of his word. Take a minimum of 5 minutes and pray for this.
Now back to the show
Romans 1 and 2
The reason why I decided to do a study on Romans is because I have often heard that Romans is the backbone of Christian theology.
And I’ll be honest, I was reading the word of the Lord the other day, and I kept finding answers in Romans.
I found some truths about Romans that was just convicting and I wanted to start this bible study with these two chapters.
I actually would like to read the entire book of Romans and go through with it with you guys, but we’ll see. God willing, we’ll make it through.
So the 1st chapter of Romans starts off with a salutation to the person who is going to receive the letter.
And Paul, the author, was just saying blessings to the Lord and was just setting the mood right for the person receiving the letter.
And then in verse 18 he starts talking about unrighteousness.
He says that people know the existence of the Lord and acknowledge him, but people don’t want to accept him because it means convicting themselves for their own wrongdoings.
So, God has left those people to do whatever they please and has filled them with burning desires that are just unholy.
It basically says that unrighteousness and wickedness should be far away from us as Christians.
Chapter 2
Now chapter 2 states that we are not to judge and leave that judgment to God.
Of course the bible states that we are to judge righteously and judge all things, But we cannot condemn in a manner that socially puts down a person. We cannot do wrong to a person just because of their sins.
Why? Because that’s not holy either. We as christians are supposed to embrace sinners because that’s why God came down on the earth for.
The Lord came down to gather everyone in the world to follow him.
And that was the meaning of these two chapters.
I highly encourage that you read them on your own.
