Hey everyone! So today, I’m going to share with you all a little something special that I thought of just recently.

Before we get into it, let’s have our moment of silence.

At this time, I would like all of us to take a moment of silence and pray to God to help us to follow him. Ask God to help our spirits to always look for him. Take a minimum of 5 minutes and pray for this.

Now back to the show

Careers

So what happened is that when I was a kid, my parents wanted me to grow up to be a lawyer or a doctor or some type of engineer.

Don’t get me wrong, my parents were more than thrilled at the fact that I ended up doing music but they really wanted big dreams for me.

And you know, those careers are good and all but there’s something wrong there.

They are acting as if though my career is in my hands.

And it is in a sense.

However, the will of God has to approve of the fact that I should be a Lawyer or doctor.

The Lord could call me to do a whole bunch of things that don’t fall in line with what my parents want me to do.

And even though my parents wanted something good for me, was it God’s will that it happened? Apparently not!

I mean King David wanted to create a house of worship for the Lord. However, the Lord told him not to because he had shed much blood as a warrior.

And it was a good thing that David wanted to do, but it was not God’s will.

And so, I started to think to myself, Even if I did want to become a doctor or a lawyer, how would I have known if it was God’s will for my life?

I mean, sure you could want to become a doctor or a lawyer, but I’ll be honest, I am currently 27 years old and I have seen many cases where someone tried to become a doctor, but ended up not being one! They even got their masters degrees and all that stuff and they ended up not becoming a doctor? Isn’t that amazing?

So like, this goes to show that it has to be God’s will that you do something before you go out and do it because it is God’s will that’s going to be done.

I remember I had a friend, who joined the marines. And I’ll be honest with you, In high school, he was a jock. He could run a mile in 4 minutes and 17 seconds, he could wrestle with the best of them, he could bench press Lord knows how much, Squat an insane amount of weight, he was in cross country, he was a jock.

And he ended up in the Marines. But I’ll be honest, I had already known that he was going to go to the marines and live.

Why? Because he was an athlete and God had given him his strength for a reason.

And God wanted to use his strength in the marines.

And sure enough, he did it. And I even overheard him say to one of his buddies that he does the job and he does the job WELL. I was shocked! Because not only had my friend gone out and did something difficult, but he did it well!

And sure enough he came back with a few battle scars but he came back alive.

And so now, I know for a fact that it was God’s will that he do that.

He’s out of the military now, and I don’t think he can go back, but man isn’t that a story?

So like, what is God’s will for our lives? Is it really to become a doctor or lawyer? Or is that something that your parents want from you? Is it to become a teacher? A musician? A preacher? A librarian? What is that thing that you’re supposed to do that God has asked you to do?

Go and figure it out and you will be amazed at what God wants you to do.
