Hey everyone! So today, I’m going to share with you all some things that I have learned about prayer.
Before we get into it, let’s have our moment of silence.
At this time, I would like all of us to take a moment of silence and pray to God to help us to follow him. Ask God to guide us more towards him each and every day. Take a minimum of 5 minutes and pray for this.
Now back to the show
What I have learned about prayer.
The number one thing that I have learned about prayer is that it actually works.
I actually just recently went back and I looked at some of the prayers that I did way back in the day.
I looked at them and I said to myself, “did I pray for this?” and sure enough, if those prayers were written it’s because I had prayed for it.
So prayers do work. The Lord can give you the desires of your heart if you set your heart to him.
He certainly gave me mine.
The second thing that I need to say is that prayers are absolutely necessary for us.
God doesn’t need prayers in order to exist. But we need prayers for our own lives in order to exist.
That’s literally true.
What happens is that prayers show a commitment towards the Lord that wouldn’t be found in other people.
Prayers show dedication and perseverance in the Lord and it shows that you trust him.
Also, If you need something, God needs to see how much you want it. If you pray for something hard enough, God will give it to you and it will show how much you wanted it.
The Lord is not slow in his promises. Trust in the Lord and the fact that the Lord answers prayers and he will answer them for you.
The last thing that I want to share is that the praying man is the strong man.
Understand that we on our own cannot dominate even ourselves.
If you take a look at your life, you’ll find that there were instances were you might’ve slipped up or even other people hurt you.
You are not in control of what other people do to you, and you sometimes lose control of what you do with yourself.
So why not put up those things in God’s hands.
Put your life and heart in the Lord’s hands. Put your confidence in the Lord’s hands. And God will direct your paths.
