Hey everyone! So today, I’m going to talk a little bit about wealth

Before we go any further, let’s have our moment of silence.

At this time, I would like all of us to take a moment of silence and pray to God to help us to follow him throughout all of our times. Ask God to guide us more towards him each and every day. Take a minimum of 5 minutes and pray for this.

Now back to the show

Bible Study: What should we do with our wealth?

So it’s funny, I actually asked myself this question because my blog has been doing really well lately.

And I asked myself, “What should I even do with this extra sort of income?”

And immediately I turned to God.

And let me say that it’s not because of my own doing that I turned to God. I actually turned to God because of God himself.

So I was left with the conviction that there was a greater purpose for my money.

And so, I wanted to know what God wants me to do with my money?

Let’s talk about this.

Deuteronomy 8:18

“But thou shalt remember the LORD thy God. For it is he that giveth thee power to get wealth. That he may establish his covenant which he sware unto thy fathers, as it is this day.”

So in this passage we read that it is by God’s power that we are even able to acquire wealth.

Have you ever heard the saying that says, “we can do nothing without God.”

Well how strong are we willing to take that subject to heart? How low are we willing to place ourselves for the Lord?

Whereas we even need to have the Lord at our side to even produce money which is something that we all need to live.

We need the Lord for our very necessities is what it’s saying. From the clothes that we wear to the food and houses we buy, it is the Lord who has provided for us.

And God is the one with authority to provide wealth.

Deuteronomy 8:17

“And thou say in thine heart, My power and the might of mine hand hath gotten me this wealth.”

What happens is that the person speaking was in a way rebuking Israel of their wrongdoings.

This person was rebuking Israel because and at the same time encouraging them.

And what he said that they claimed that it was by their own power that they acquired all that they had.

But he says to REMEMBER the Lord our God when we have our riches. For it was by his hands that we have the things that we have.

Psalm 112: 1 – 5

It states, “Praise ye the Lord. Blessed is the man that feareth the Lord. That delighteth greatly in his commandments. His seed shall be mighty upon earth. The generation of the upright shall be blessed. Wealth and riches shall be in his house. And his righteousness endureth forever.”

Right here it’s saying what is the beginning of wisdom and that is to fear the Lord.

How greatly are we to fear the Lord? It says fear as if he is authority and know that the Lord can bare the sword against you at any time.

The one who fears God is the one who has riches.

I could go on and on

I could go on and on about the excellent things that the Lord has. But the main point is to remember the Lord when you have your riches. And always adhere to the Lord’s ways before you do anything. For his righteousness will last forever.
