So what happened was that I was thinking back to my youth and I was really examining the reasons for all the things that happened in my life.
And the reasons all had to do with God because I knew it was him. But I saw something deeper than that.
Let’s talk about this.
At this time, I would like all of us to take a moment of silence and pray to God to help us to have a good spirit towards him in the dark times. Ask God to give us a good spirit towards him for the rest of our lives. Take a minimum of 5 minutes and pray for this.
Now back to the show
I understand why God allows us to fail
So what happened was that I was going through my head and racking it really hard trying to figure out why the Lord would allow such evil that has happened in my life to occur?
I truly didn’t understand it. I didn’t understand and I was using biblical concepts to really try and understand the mystery behind the Lord’s ways.
And I saw it. I saw why the Lord allows us to fail.
What happens is that we as humans need a comparison to see who truly is behind the work that we do.
When you learn something new, what does the boss tell you to do? They tell you to just examine and see how things are done. So that way, when it’s your turn to do it, you copy and do it the same way.
However, through experience, we learn certain things that you’re supposed to do and certain things that you’re not supposed to do.
And you compare the things that you were taught to the things that you are doing and see through experience which way is the right way.
God allows us to fail because God is giving us a comparison. He is showing us what our ways lead to and what his ways lead to.
I will give you guys an example.
When I was young, I thought lying was totally acceptable. I did not see that being honest is the correct way.
However, my parents always told me to be honest and I grew up honest and now I see that lying all the time is incorrect.
So now I see that lying is incorrect and the bible, which is God’s writing, was right all along.
I’ll give you another example.
I worked really hard at music. I worked SUPER hard at music. However, I didn’t take into consideration that when I first started playing the guitar, I was always praying to God to make me a great musician. I asked God multiple times a day and I would put all of my musicality onto the Lord. and sure enough, it was the Lord’s power who made me a great musician.
Now at the time, I thought that it was by my own strength that I had accomplished such feats of musicianship.
I thought that it was solely me who did music.
So, I tried to apply the same wisdom that I had to other aspects of my life including work to try and make lot’s of money.
And I could never do it.
I could never do it because I had no strength to do it.
And I didn’t understand why I couldn’t do it, I had money on the line and I could’ve made a LOT of money if I just did the same wise things that I had always done.
And I struggled to understand what was stopping me.
And I found out what was really stopping me.
It was God.
I started to pray to God about my jobs, and sure enough, the awards just started rolling in. I started doing great things at my jobs.
And I saw that God does give us the strength and the power to obtain wealth.
Now you might be wondering to yourself, “But German, there are plenty of people in Hollywood who don’t have God and are living extravagantly? Why is that the case?”
The answer is in the bible.
Hear these verses from proverbs
Proverbs 28:6, “Better is the poor that walketh in his uprightness, than he that is perverse in his ways, though he be rich.”
That literally implies that there will be rich people who are perverse, However, that’s not the way that it’s supposed to happen.
What is supposed to happen?
So what is supposed to happen is that money is supposed to bring us closer to God. And it does work.
Money is supposed to bring us closer to God and that’s the true purpose of money.
With money we can give glory to God.
With money we acknowledge where the money came from and give glory to God for the money.
See if you want money, you know the answer is God. you have to get closer to God if you want riches.
The richest man that ever lived, Solomon, Said that the fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom. And Wisdom is finer than precious Jewels and rubies. Proverbs was written by Solomon and solomon states that wisdom, “in her right hand is length of days and in her left hand are riches and honor.”
Thereby we know that wisdom comes from God and God has all the power in the world to give us money if we just follow him and accept him into our lives.
That’s the true purpose of money, it brings us closer to God.
So you can chase money, but if you really want money, you need to be chasing God. above all else.
